Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

Clear golden straw with a white rocky head and swirls and streaks of lace. The nose is grass and citrus with some pine hops. The taste is unexpected - grassy citrus (especially grapefruit) with light malt in the background as floral and pine hops take over the finish. The aftertaste moves back toward island fruit. An exceptional brew, different in the best ways, well worth the high expemse of a bottle. Highly recommended.

600 ml bottle - pours hazt hay yellow with floating yeast particles, fine thin white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, some lytchee as well - all subtle aromas. Light body yet very creamy and round mouthfeel, light sourness, medium bitterness increasing towards the end. Dry finish. Very nice and balanced beer!

Bottle 50 cl. Poured clear pale golden in colour with a creamy white head. Really nice exotic fruity aroma with citrus being quite heavy on the nose. Taste is grassy and bitter at first. Some wild forrest berries and gooseberries in flavour also. Tasty brew.

Clear yellow and a mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is intensively hoppy, with resin, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and many other fruits and flowers. These feelings are well balanced with the bitter flavor in the mouth. Fresh, watery, and soft carbonation, very pleasant.

Bottle - from Blackrock Cellar, Dublin. Amazing Kiwi Fruit aroma - and a fine ale to boot. Excellent bitter finish, enhanced by cold serving. Very good

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2016 500ml bottle Waitrose, Beckenham - Gold colour, pours a nice head, with light lacing. Pleasing assault of tropical fruit on tasting (grapefruit/kiwi most prominent) with a nice bitter aftertaste. Edit# Rated again on bottle on recent trip back to UK, not as amazing as I remember in my early rating days in 2012, but still very nice. Score revised.
