Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

Foamy white full lasting head. Golden colour. Aroma is malty, fruity (pineapple, banana, mango) with grapefruit notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity (grapefruit and passion fruit) and light biscuits tones, ending in a balanced slightly bready finish. Light to medium bodied.

Some kiwi flavors, but mostly what I was getting was grapefruit. A refreshing but light bodied and drinkable pale ale.

Light coloured pale ale with a superb nose of tropical fruits, there’s plenty of taste in it too.

Panama City Beach, Fl - Chan’s Wine World - 500 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden with a soft snow-white head that leaves a light film of lacing. Fresh floral aroma with some lemony accents, a hint of saffron-like spiciness. Flavor is bold and refreshing. Some honey-like sweetness, slight citrusy bitterness, a hint of kiwi fruit, a touch of spiciness. Mouthfeel is sticky and thick. Very enjoyable.

1/2 liter bottle - finally fot around to reviewing this one after sipping away at a supply I had cached all summer. Nice hazed gold color with a 3 finger frothy cap - good retention. Modest carbonation. Wonderful aroma floral, citrus, exotic fruits, cereal, some grassiness. Medium bodied, good dose of malts in the front balanced by a pleasant grape skin astringence which turns more resonous and citric in the bittering finish. This is an excellent pale ale with all the wonderful qualities of the nelson sauvin hop. I will definately buy more when it is available.

Bottle, pours a nice bright yellow, aroma is a bit earthy and citrus. Lots of life to these hops in here. Flavourful stuff. Nice pick up by the lcbo

On tap sampler at Pizzeria Paradiso in Alexandria, VA. Clear, yellow straw with white head and good lacing. Aroma of sweet citrus, grapefruit, pear, biscuit and caramel. Taste of floral and citric hops, green apples, orange and biscuits. Light/medium body and light/medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Well, this beer looks rather innocent but after one sip it's clearly guilty as charged! Its a very light amber pour which really does not inspire. There is little in the way of a memorable aroma either, but this beer is packed full of flavour. I'll be the first to admit though that this really isn't a session beer and the flavour might not be to everyone's taste. The citrus tones are very strong. All I can think of when I taste this is grapefruit which gives this beer it's sour and bitter taste that really hits your sinuses! The palate was not as strong as I expected and the aftertaste faded rather quickly. A great beer to taste and I would order again, but not by the pint and not all night long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden yellow with bright white soapy head that lasts for a minute before leaving lacing hugging the glass. Smells like a grassy, fruity white wine with a backing of pale malt. Nelson Sauvin is more prominent than the pale malt back bone, but not out of style. Malts still provide a foundation of sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Beer finishes with a pleasant, lasting, bright bitterness. Delicious.

1L squealer. Pours a cloudy golden hue with a small white head and a slight skunky aroma? (not sure how old the keg was). Has a slight fruity note in the flavour although its not outstanding. I would like to try this beer fresh one day to see the difference.
