Cask & Cold Filtered Bottle; Regular.
Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

(bottle) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, grass and catpiss, slightly doughy pale malt in the background. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly doughy malt character with loads of citric, grapefruity hops, accompanied by some grassy accents towards the mildly bitter finish. A bit perfumed, has something of a (cheaper) Sauvignon Blanc from NZ. 11.VIII.14

Bottle bought at Waitrose in East Cowes, shared with MichaelAwesome (as usual). Pours out in a deep golden-light amber colour with smooth, low ehad and medium to crisp body. Aroma of fresh hops with hints of herbs and flowers. Taste of dry, bitter hops, herbs, thyme, coriander, citrus fruit, lemon zest and spruce. Mild and smooth bitter finish. Enjoyed it - loved it.

Bottle from Waitrose in Cowes shared with McTapps. Every new day here on the Isle of Wight generates a new superstars and that beer is one of those. Highly drinkable with a very crispy taste and spicy aromas full of hops, lemons, bit pepper and grass. Balanced carbo, a mild bitter end with a touch of a classic british pie make that one really uniqe. A beer I will not forget in my whole BUT not one of the best ever. Classy, but not crazily superb.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2014 Bottle, best before 2015-07-03. Clear yellow with a medium sized white head. Citrus, pine, sweet tropical fruits towards the finish; persimmon, yellow kiwi. Petroleum. Light pine, very light bready malt. Light body, watery/oily texture, fluffy carbonation, light/medium sweet with relatively low bitterness. Light dry and bitter finish with lingering hops. Soft, juicy and extremely drinkable. Had one again a couple of days later, it is good to have something like this in the local Waitrose.

Aroma: orange, lime; Appearance: clear urine, medium foamy head; Taste: medium bitterness, slight sourness, slight sweetness; Palate: bitter finish, light body, soft carbonation, slick texture Immensly citric ale, pretty dry but more bitter than astringent. You rarely encounter Nelson Sauvin in this concentration... Very drinkable.
