Cask & Cold Filtered Bottle; Regular.
Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

16.9 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a clear straw color - I can immediately tell this doesnít have much malt to it. The head is a frothy two finger white shade. The retention is solid and some decent (if inconsistent) lacing is left behind. Pretty good looking. S: This does a good job of showing off Nelson hops, and itís not even uber fresh! Notes of pine, lemon, grape skin, and some tropical fruits come through quite well. Not much of a malt backbone comes through in the nose. Some slight soapiness detracts, but otherwise this is a solid hoppy aroma. T: Hop flavor hits the palate immediately. Tropical fruit, some grapefruit, and slight herbal qualities are the main notes provided here. The finish isnít soapy at all, with only a mild, non-intrusive sweetness; actually, itís even a little juicy. The problem here isnít the flavor...itís the lack of flavor. While it is VERY pleasant and VERY balanced (Iím impressed how they hid the bitterness with such a feeble malt backbone), itís sadly too unassuming for its own good. Actually, you know what, I donít care...this just gets better and better the more I drink it. Itís delicate and subtle in all the right places. M: This is so light and crisp its unbelievable. Iím just killing this like itís nothing. The soft yet impressive carbonation is definitely helping it here - and thereís just enough of a dry finish to help it even further. O: If the flavor was íbiggerí so to speak, it would kill many íMurican-brewed pale ales stone dead. Still, this is more-or-less everything I want from the style. What a shame itís so expensive...

Bottle from beerhive. Very pale gold, straw, white fluffy head. Grass, flowers and dough. Nice soft fizz without the harshness that Thornbridge sometimes have in the bottle. Light body, bitter with grassy floral finish. Very refreshing and a bit different. Good stuff.

ASPETTO: giallo chiarissimo con lievi tonalitŗ verdastre. Molto limpida.

Pint at the rake borough market. Good lacing. Easy drinking and inoffensive, in a good way. Some fruity notes. Could do 4 or 5 no problem but Iíve got to be back at work in an hour. A dilemma.

Lo queas destaca en esta cerveza es el DMS. La probamos cuatro personas y no mos gusto a ninguno. Poca espuma. Poca carbonatacion.

In short: stale pale ale.
Pours little hazy pale bright gold, with little white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Herbal, stale, little skunky and dms nose. Light body, average to low carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is little bitter, herbal, some fruity. Ends dry. A bit dissapointing.

Tap. Small silky white head, thick lace. Clear pale golden. Strong fruity aroma with mango. Dry, oily and crispy palate. Hoppy and bitter. Bit strange.

Aromat mało intensywny, cytrusowy. Barwa słomkowa, zamglone. Piana średnia, niska. W smaku wyraźne tropiki i białe owoce. Wodniste ze średnią goryczką.
