Nice hopped-up contempory take on an ESB.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 snzcujo (274) - RUSSIA - NOV 6, 2012
Tasted from the cask @Buckingham hotel, Buxton, on 06/11/2012.
Pours of lovely copper color with a proper snowy head.
Aroma is quite mild, just slightly caramely and flowery.
Mouthfeel low-to-medium bodied, low carbonated as expected.
Taste is mild as well, caramely sweet upfront, then floral and faint herbal notes.
Aftertaste is short and just a bit bitter.
Neutral, maybe I just dont like cask ales much.

15th October 2012 Craft. Hazy amber beer, little off white head. Palate is fresh and and pretty dry. Moderate carbonation. Moderate hops - a little tangerine and marmalade. Whisper of grass. Pretty fresh but restrained and too dry.

On cask @ Beauchief Hotel - looks okay, bit of a golden colour, nice white head, Slight citric nose, hoppy. The bite and palate aren’t up to scratch. Not as good and let the brewery standard down. Ordinary.

Cask gravity, Nottingham BF 2012, 12/10/12. Handsome, loose-collared copper. Somewhat minty, M+Ms aroma. Mint and orange chocolate taste; a thin, odd flavour profile with herbal, menthol and aniseed touches. OK I suppose.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jackl (2826) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2012
Cask @ CBC Brixton. Apparently this beer was brewed to celebrate a local Sheffield newspaper. The pour’s a medium amber color with a tiny white head. The nose is light fruits, apricot, white grapes. Hints of summery grass. The taste is mildly fruity malts, some strawberry and more apricot. Some sprucy hop bitterness on the finish. Grassy. Soft body, easy to drink. Overall, quite nice! This has a much bigger hop profile than your traditional ESB. A good hybrid!
