Cask@GBBF2009. Coppery colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some hops, wood and also mild fruityness. Flavour is quite much the same along with bready notes as well.

Cask, handpump, at GBBF ’09. Coppery gold. Thick, sweet malty aroma like sponge pudding and treacle. Some sourness joins the treacle in the taste. The finish is sharply bitter. Very acceptable.

Cask at the Derby Summer Beer Festival 2009. There’s a malty and sweet aroma. The flavour starts bitter but then weakens to end with caramel and malt. There is also a floral flavour throughout. A good beer, but expect better from Thornbridge.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Bit of chocolate malts the pale malts seem hidden but theres no real malt character dominating, lightly herbal, brassy and very bitter. Decent stuff.

bread coffee and fruit on the nose with good berry fruits in the mouth together with bready malts and lovely hop notes. A superbly balanced bittersweet beer. Score 3.6 Subsequent rating also scored 3.6.

Cask at the Derby Winter Beer Festival 2009. This copper coloured bitter has a nice malty sweetness with suggestions of honey and butterscotch with a grapefruit rush of hops on the finish.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2008 Cask, Inaugural Knickersby Fest 08. Best conditioned beer of the festival, hands down. Heaped persistent froth exuding nutty malt and toasted seeds. Lemony citrus and unfamiliar fruit. Fig? Fibrous and woody. A bit weird, but good.

Cask handpull at Coach & Horses, Dronfield. Copper, thin beige head. Malty aroma, light grapefruit hop, really drinkable best bitter. Bit of toast/caramel, lovely malty flavour and some good hop bite on finish. I could drink that all night.
