Hand pulled cask at the Cambridge (Nicholsons) London. Ruby/black with a tan head. An easy going stout with no particulary outstanding characturistics, which is unusual for this brewer.

Half in the White Horse, off Carneby St. Colour is ruby very dark brown, off white head. Nose is a weight. Really zinging with hops. Getting peach and citrous and touch of pine. Then it’s the roasted malt. Taste is milk chocolate, roasted malt and bit of coffee. It’s fairly light for a stout.

On cask at the Haymarket. A black beer with a decent, light tan head. Aroma of pine, roasty malt, chocolate and caramel. Similar flavours with a long roasty malt linger. Moderate carbonation. Tasty.
