Cask and bottles; semi-regular.
Originally released a for the Chesterfield CAMRA festival.
Renamed as Wild Raven in 2013 due to another beer going by the name "Raven" elsewhere
The recipe for the brew came from James Kemp, who joined the team a few months ago. Previously crowned the New Zealand Home Brewing Champion in 2008 and winner of a Liberty Award, Kemp used Maris Otter, Black Patent and Chocolate malt along with Nelson Sauvin, Centennial and Sorachi hops.
The beer, called Raven, has bitterness and hop character and plenty of malt flavours to give it complexity.
James moved on to Buxton brewery and is now a freelance brewer

Bruinrode kleur, cremige kraag. Ruikt en smaakt als een ipa maar dan wat donkerder. goed te drinken.

Cola black. Beige head. Fruity and grassy aroma. Light body. Roasty, medium bitter, some sweetness, sour berries. This one is OK but not my fave style.

Tasting @ bierfestival Maastricht. Deep dark brown, foamy beige head. Typical black IPA nose and taste, big on hops, fruity and bitter. Medium carbonation, medium-thick bodied, oily mouthfeel.

Nose is bread, plastic, cola whiff, sweet corn, weak nose all in all, feel is mediumbroad, taste is decent lemon zest, leaves, wet lawn, caramel note, later weak bile

Large, beige head and deep brown colour, very nice aroma of chocolatiness from malts, from the bottle. then strong citruses from the glass. low bitterness and good balance between maltiness and hoppiness in flavour. very good beer.

Bottle 50 cl from the Internets. Black with a beige huge head. Aroma like boiling mash with newly added hops. Hops, grassy, slight citrus, very slight roast/toast, bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Would have prefered a bit more hoppy aroma, and a bit more roast/toast in the taste.

Pretty vague arome, some coffee and some grass. Pretty black, beige head. Some malty roastiness in the taste finished of with some, but not much bitterness. Medium body average carbonation. Pretty medioker as a beer and dissapointing as a black IPA

Black with beige head. Aroma and taste of American hops, citrus and tropical fruits with some caramel and roasted malt.
