3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
9 pint mini cask from the T Hall Brewery. This is one of the 3 special beers brewed over the summer of 2008 by the 3 different brewers as a competition to see who could brew the best beer left to his own devices. Stacey at the brewery described this as a light ale which has been dry hopped. This is gold with lasting off white head. Aroma of light grassy citrus hop. Very grassy, some malt in mouth.Touch of toffee and then a rather nice dry hopped bitter finish. Aroma isn’t my favourite, but rest is great for a 2.7% beer. A light mild with excellent hop. Like Kipling but lighter. So, so drinkable due to the condition and sherberty hop on finish. Drank all 9 pints in one sitting.
