The Thornbridge Sequoia American Amber Ale has beautiful citrus and pine notes that come from our generous additions of Amarillo, Centennial and Chinook hops. It is smooth and velvety in the mouth with the toasted malts giving it a medium body with hints of roasted hazelnut, toffee and caramel malt flavours. Sequoia, a beautiful beer for all occasions!

Keg at The Ned Ludd, Nottingham. A clear amber colour with thin white head. Aroma of toasted malts, some caramel, slight grapefruit, a little pine, a hint of hazelnut and subtle herbal hops. Taste is similar of toasted malts, some caramel, slight grapefruit, a hint of pine and subtle herbal hops. Light bodied moderate carbonation. A crisp, toasty, slight herbal hop bitterness in the finish. More maltier than I expected, subtle hoppiness to it. Nice and crisp though.

Sampled draft @ Bar Dynamo. Dark red amber, creamy head. Nose is massive nearly cloying herbal sugary, leaves, plants affair, thick overly sweet, almost a bit cough syrup like. Taste is this big sweet slab of brown sugar herbal leaves sweetness, bitter plants, toffee, leaves, faint cough syrup. Very thick & sugary body. Too sweet herbal, near cloying etc. for me. Really not to my profile, the whole is a bit hard to drink which is an odd quality for a 4.5 % Amber Ale to possess.

Pours clear, dark amber. Fluffy white head. Smell is bit bitter. Taste is bitter, bit aromatic malts. OK carbo, rather thin MF. The taste hides what seems like an oxidized back.
