Bottle. Dark mahogony with beige head. Sweet and bitter. Roasted character. Chocolatey. Quite highly carbonated. Good stuff.

From a bottle. Darkest red with thick tan head. Aroma has milk chocolate, metallic, ripe fruit, wood. Taste is similar but no metal. Full creamy mouthfeel. Decent but probably my least favorite from thornbridge

Saturday evening, at home. Nice dark pour with slight foamy head. Good bitterness which remains sufficiently long in the aftertaste. Slight hint of sweetness. Good beer for this time of the year.

Bottle at home, 15th January 2012. Pours dark brown, black. Aroma is not that intense. Taste is coffee and bitter chocolate, palate is rather thin and less luxurious than some imperial stouts, I prefer a thicker, richer palate. Not a patch on the Kernel Stouts, but OK

Saturday night brew for Patriots game. Pours dark brown with thin soapy beige head. Tastes of cola, leather, dark chocolate, light coffee, some peat, and malty sweetness. Pretty thin for imp stout but very drinkable and quite tasty.

Cask at Euston tap. Almost black. Pretty sweet with a lot of leather in both aroma and flavour. A bit harsh bitterness.
