Erasmus_ro (1188) - Alabama, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Cask @ Black Door, Helsinki, 12/03/14. Pours golden yellow with not much of a head. Fairly citrusy affair, some strawy maltiness there as well. More of a golden ale than an APA. Not too nice. A bit too full and slick without the carbonation.

(Cask at Kitty’s, 20140311) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was small, dense and it lasted long. Aroma had grass, straw and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were grass, straw, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A well done hoppy Golden Ale.

Cask pump at Cask, Pimlico. Another fine APA variation from these killer British craft brewers. Attractive bright appearance, deep orange-ish gold and firm carbonation. Inviting tropical fruits in the nose, along with some sweet candy malts and hints of dry bitterness. Nice smooth mouthfeel, but nothing too heavy. Bright citrus and mango to taste, but somehow the beer’s very balance - malts to ground things, etc. - tended to get in the way of what for me I wanted to be a straight hop blast.

Scopey (5518) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Brighton. It pours lightly hazy amber, with a thick bubbly white head. The nose is straw, dough, earth, light spice, sweat, sweet white grape and lychee even. The taste is dough, straw, resin, earth, some spice, good bitter hop bite, citrus pith, grapefruit, soap and sweet white grape, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff, but not a stand-out.
