September 15, 2014 - at The Pelt Trader; on cask. Slightly hazy pale brass with an average mottled off-white head. Taste and aroma - standard solid UK golden ale - grassy with acidic hop bitterness - has an almost lager honey/heather thing with extra acidity - the topaz? - sweeter than I prefer, but not annoying. Solid body, a little chewy and astringent on the tongue - airy enough, not carbonated much per se but decent life on the palate; that topaz hop seems to yield a weird and not altogether pleasant aftertaste.

Cask by hand-pump at State Bar, Glasgow - golden ale with a marginal haze, thin white head, fruity, yeasty aroma, intermittent lacing, sweet, tropical fruits, refreshing, easy to drink

Cask at the Magpie, golden with a thin clinging head, a little pineapple and honey on the nose, palate is initially juicy golden malt with an earthy bitterness, then a green vegetal hoppiness coming through along with a faint touch of tropical fruit.

Cask at CBC Brixton. Pours a hazy yellow gold with little head. Nice funky hoppy, light veg aroma. Light to medium body, very little carbonation. Quite cakey, with candy, light caramel, grass, some orange. OK, but lifeless. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at the Port Street Beer House. Slightly hazy golden body, with a tight white head. Aroma of citrus, set honey and toast. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavours. Quite a juicy mouth feel. Sharp and refreshing finish. Very good beer, that I’m more than happy to recommend, but Thornbridge set the bar high, so not one of their most exceptional productions. Still, who’s complaining?

Cask@angle. Pale yellow. Fresh fruity nose, light cotrus, some meadowy tones. Light med body, pale malty, quite dry, bitter. Alright ale.
