3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned handpump Fat Cat Sheffield 21/06/12. A darkish gold coloued beer with a white head. Sharp tropical fruits in the nose and mouth, particularly so in the aroma. A bit of a meaty flavour which others seem to have spotted as well. Quite chinook like in my opinion. Not really my type of hop.

[cask, FyneFest 2012] Orange amber pour – first beer of FyneFest 2012 (after Rune). Passion fruit all the way for Topaz – it’s almost strange, in a way. Fruit pulp. At the same time, earthy, skunky and a little spicey – but mostly tropical. Odd

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a weak, white foam head. Not getting much out of the nose, perhaps some grainy malts and toast. Light sweet flavor with lots of toasty grains, whole grains, rye flakes, bran. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with more toasty grains, some burnt toast, faint grassy and earthy bitterness, toasted biscuits. The beer seems to come alive a bit as I drink it, with a nice hop character coming through with more pine and earth. Overall an interesting and decent beer.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at the Hillary Step, Manchester. Woah, this is interesting. Gold, slightly cloudy, thin off white head. Smells of... orange, spice, and I swear I caught a whiff of ham. Tastes grassy, spicy, and there’s tons of fruit. Grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe. Stands out.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at York tap. Golden with a white head. Nice bog hoppy aroma, lots of grapefruit, little pepperiness and a tiny bit pissy. Taste has more of the same although the pepperiness comes through more, reminds me a lot of Nelson sauvin but perhaps a little more earthy. A bit warm for my liking and a reasonable carbonation for a cask conditioned beer, fairly bitter finish. I enjoyed this, though would probably prefer a bottle.

On tap at the Craft. Hazy gold beer, small bubbly white head.Light semi dry palate. So this is a new hop - what have we got? Mild bitter orange balanced with mellow hop skunk. A whisper of tropical fruits. Finishes semi dry with sweeter orange marmalade peeping through. Decent but would really like to try this hop at IPA strength.
