A light yellow beer with a medium and white head. The nose is pure malty and fresh, slightly aromatic, grass. Taste of malts, slightly aromatic, grass, hint of fruits, mild bitterness. Medium- bodied, quite smooth to drink. Pure and fresh.

Thanks to gethinbeer. Pale straw coloured pour. The nose is softly spicy with a bit of clean pale malt. A touch of crackery malt and a bit of bread yeast as well. Fairly fruity aroma as it starts to warm up. A touch of berry through the middle. A bit of woody bitterness and a fairly minerally finish. Quaffable brew.

500ml bottle. Pale straw, very clear with a large white head that dissipates. Aroma is zesty and lager-like. Flavours of straw, slightly sweet malt, very light citrus, apple. Light bitterness. Light bodied with moderate to heavy carbonation. Clean and refreshing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
August 26, 2013 - on draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Clear gold, slightly bubbly with a small white head. Sweet and wheaty/grainy aroma - honey and pear, a little mineral tang. Taste follows - yep, it’s a kolsch - a minerally/grassy lager. Light body, solid carbonation, quick heathery/minerally finish. Very delicate and enjoyable on a hot day. Not world-beating, but I would have it again.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2013 Clear golden pour with a thin white lace. Fruit, malt, straw aroma. Crisp, malty brew. Thin body makes for a very easy and potentially dangerous session brew.

Bottle. Pours clear golden. Aroma is dusty with some floral notes. Taste is medium bitter and light sweet. Crisp finish, though a bit boring.

LCBF. Clear yellow, big white head. Smells of lager, slightly sour. Taste…….lager. Overall, I would call this a fairly standard lager in all honesty. Can’t differentiate it from most of the commercial stuff. Not the best beer to have as my #700.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Not much else to say here besides the fact it’s very clean and sessionable. Which is exactly what you want in a Kolsch. Good stuff

Just a standard pale lager. Pretty easy going light biscuit malts. Not my sorta beer but gets the job done for a palate cleanser
