Bottled, regular;
Tzara is a hybrid beer, fermented like an ale but matured like a lager. A delicate straw coloured, crisp, refreshing beer

A golden, clear beer. It’s quite crisp and refreshing with a slight citrus/sweet edge but there’s just not a great deal to it. If it was the best on offer somewhere I could happily drink a few but I wouldn’t rush back to it.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Crystal clear gold pour with lacy white head. Aroma is grainy, nice and clean, ever so slight fruity notes, very light grassy hop, pretty authentic actually much more so than I expected. Taste is grainy, lemony, pretty legit, if a bit overhopped (more perceptible here than the aroma). Palate is light, well carbed and dry. Nice refreshing beer.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint fruitiness and light citrus - grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and grassy hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish, light grassy hoppyness. OK, dryish kölsch. Bit thin though.

Draft - Earthy and grassy hops. Clear gold with a nice white head. Sweet pale malts. Not much going on here, another slightly hoppy blonde.

(bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with a blond and firm foamy head. Yeasty and slightly dusty English malty aroma with subtle fruity accents and a whiff of grassy hops in the background. Mildly bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Soft pale malty base with present wheaty notes, hints of salted cracker, mildly grassy hops show up from the middle part; quite dry, bitter hoppy finish with notes of grain and wheat. Likeable interpretation of the style. 28.VI.14

Bottle (500 ml). BB 27-062014, so 1 day after the BB date, Slightly hazy yellow/golden with a small quickly disappearing white head and little to no lacing. Aroma is slightly citrusy with grains, light sweetness and pils malt. Taste is slightly sweet with citrusy/fruity notes, cereals, decent malt backbone and herbal character. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Moderate lasting fnish. Not bad. Easily drinkable and quenching while not bland either. Some more freshness would certainly help, but this was already quite old when it arrived in Québec.
