Bottle. Gushed upon opening, but poured to a hazy light straw with large bubbly top which mostly disappeared. Light grapefruit and malt on the nose. Citrus in the mouth, night and light and matches what the ABV is telling you. Leaves a nice tingle of bitter and spice in the palate too. Quite a thriller at this ABV, and lovely for a hot summers day.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 16.10.2012
Aroma has some harsh, lager‐like grainy malt. Also some hops, sweetish peaches and hints of hay. Flavour has rather much hops, some peaches, lemon and grainy malt. Refreshing and surprisingly good when looking at the ABV. Good for sessions like the deScription says.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle: best before 16 Aug 2012, opened on a warm and sunny 24 May 2012.
It is certainly pale, even for a ’pale ale’ and it reminded me of urine, especially with it’s white frothy head.
The smell is all citrus hop: grapefruit and lemon aromas mostly.
The taste follows the smell: citrus flavours and hoppy with a bitter undertone at all times.
Pleasant and easy to sip, the alcohol level although low, suits the body strength nicely. All in all a nice enough beer, but not really exciting or more-ish.

Cask at Hillary Step, Manchester. Very well balanced, though smells maltier than it is. Nice tangy hops, grapefruit and lemon notes.

Palest beer I’ve ever seen. Smell of lemon and Campari. Taste though is minimal- slightly biscuity. Overall, decent for ABV, but simple.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thornbridges 'baby beer'. Light and refreshing with a half decent bitter kick at the end. Decent aroma but not much in the way of taste or body. Still, at 3.5% what you want?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
50cl bottle. Light yellow pour, not too much head/lacing. Aroma full of delicate citrus and tropical fruit, bit of light spice, touch of garden herb - all very subtle. Taste is again very delicate - lovely light biscuit malt complimenting the fruity tropical hop notes. Satisfying light bitter finish - great session beer, lovely stuff.
