3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Northern Craft Beers Festival at the Hawkshead Brewery. Straw coloured with a thin white head. Grassy citrus aroma. The taste has more grassy citrus with a slightly odd cucumber finish. A bit strange.

Wish I had read the tasting notes first. Not a fan of cucumber.
Usually a great supporter of Thornbridge beers, but this one is a poor addition to their great range of beers.
Must remember to leave this one aside next time.

Cask tap east. Tastes like cucumber. Not as bad as it sounds but not exactly a gin and tonic. A curiosity. I won’t have another but perfectly doable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Arcadia, Leeds. Cucumber, grass, leaves, rye, peach. Fruity white-grapes - possibly NZ hops? So nice on cask too, it’s just so juicy and soft and drinkable. Tied for best cucumber beer with Cigar City Cucumber Saison.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask. Bath Hotel, Sheffield. Sparkly clear, yellow gold. Thin, bubbly, messy, lasting, white head. For me the aroma is as much parsley and coriander, as it is cucumber. Either way, it’s very vegetal. Bready malt backdrop. Taste is mostly dry. Palate is thin. Finishes dry, with some earthy bitterness.

@Urban Tap, Cardiff
I love Thornbridge, so am a bit shocked by this
It tastes of cucumber, grass, leaves, allotment, hay
An incredible drink, no idea how they did it, but I’m not sure it’s beer or if I’d have it again

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at The York Tap. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Nice lacing. Light cucumber and malt aromas. Taste is faint cucumber, but definitely there, more light malt. Light bitter finish. Interesting.

Frisk lukt med preg av lys malt, humle, vått korn, høy, gras, asparges. Lett tørr smak med preg av lys malt, humle, høy, asparges, vått korn, gras. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Rar!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small head. It does smell and taste of the vegetable making it a fairly interesting brew, although a touch dry in texture.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at Borefts BF 2012. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and rye. The flavor is sweet with barley, rye, and a bit of hops, leading to dry finish.
