On tap at Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 28th September 2012 Fresh, cucumbery nose, very vegetable perhaps a little to much but it is likeable even for me who utterly and totally hates cucumber. Good but bettered by the Aussie Summer Ale. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Borefts 12. Clear golden yellow, small white head. Smells hops, slightly fruity. Tastes cucumber, watery, malts. Thin body, fizzy carbo.

Cask (handpump) at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico on 21 April 2012. Pale colour. My goodness, this really does smell of cucumber. Whether or not that’s a good thing I’m not sure. Light, delicate and perfumed. Interesting of course but not really my thing I guess.

Cask at Deramore. I only tried this because it was from the trusty Thornbridge. Glad I did! Pale malts with a very subtle hop character and then suddenly you are struck with delicious, fresh cucumber. This must be a love or hate ale for some, since the cucumber is so very evident. I ended the night having ordered 5 pints of this beauty!

Tried with my husband on cask. My favorite Thornbridge beer. Really light, refreshing summer drinking with unmistakable cucumber in the aroma and finish. I honestly don’t like real cucumber, but this worked wonders. A top 10 cask ale for me.

Cask. Pale yellow, white head, Good lacing. Aroma of fresh cucumber, biscuits, and pale malt. Light malt in the taste that finishes with cool cucumber and then hop spiciness that blends wonderfully with the cucumber akin to salad dressing. I really like how the cucumber is the key component of the taste while being far from overpowering.

cask at the grove, huddersfield...thanks for the taste craig! light amber with fruity nose..parma violets? Definitely cucumber throughout the taste with a touch of lemon and light malts. Interesting indeded!

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2012 cask at grove bar ... golden amber ... thin white head ... soft floral hop nose ... oh my god ... its cucumber ... no really its cucumber yeah theres more going on here ... but its cucumber ... wow

well unless the brewer was pulling my leg, cucumbers were added at every stage, including a whole cucmber to every cask.

This is definitely my NUMBER 1 beer that i want to retry at this moment. amazing, just amazing

again with Gin added ... well this is odd.. it just seems to bring out the cucumber nose keg at de molen ... golden thin white head .... soft cucumber nose ... much more bitter cucumber ... soft and easy ... less sweet than the cask i had ok 3.6

Cask at Craft Beer Co, London on 25th April 2012. Clear gold with an offwhite ring of foam and no lacing. yeasty aroma with notes of blue Stilton cheese and sweet malts. Quite a fruity liquid, with notes of soft-fruit and, rather curiously, cucumber! The finish is on the herby side, with dill notes, grassy and floral hoppiness. Fine carbonation giving a smooth mouthfeel, with quite a light body. Interesting, rather drinkable, novelty ale.

Cask handpull at Craft Beer Co. Gold clear collar of white bubbles. Palma violets. Not much condition. Its got too much perfume for me. Ok a bit but not my fav.
