Draft @ Borefts 2012 - a beer I went to into with the wrong expectations, came a bit short because of that - I expected a cucumber explosion instead this was balanced, complimentary lighter cucumber and sessionable - probably the first and only beer i will ever complain about in a review about not having enough cucumbers - possibly more effective if you don’t know what you are getting in - clear orange with little in the way of a head - smell is some hops, bitter yeast, light spices and a touch of cucumber skin, grass - taste is not enough cucumbers - it is subtle and you kind of have to pick it out but it is there, bitter, spices, light hops, mellow vegetable, grass, floral - easy sessionable - not bad stuff

Golden pour with a white head. Not too intense of a cucumber aroma, but definitely there. Some bready malt sweetness, a bit of floral hops, mild grass, and a light fruit character from the hops. The flavor has quite a lot of cucumber. A touch of water, but otherwise quite good. Bready malt base, some floral and fruity hop notes, and a pleasant sweetness.

On tap at BBF’12. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of light malts, floral, grassy, very fresh green aroma that turned out to be cucumber. Flavour is fresh, green, grassy, light floral, malty, light bitter finish. Light bodied. Not a cucumber fan, but this was a nice beer.

Keg at Borefts. Clear straw pour, thin round white head. Light malty aroma with a lovely gorgeous floral grassy flavour and a nice sharp bitterness that sits nicely on the palate. Didn't quite get the cucumber but its an amazing golden summer ale that is worthy of its rating. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 28th September 2012 Fresh, cucumbery nose, very vegetable perhaps a little to much but it is likeable even for me who utterly and totally hates cucumber. Good but bettered by the Aussie Summer Ale. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
