Tried with my husband on cask. My favorite Thornbridge beer. Really light, refreshing summer drinking with unmistakable cucumber in the aroma and finish. I honestly donít like real cucumber, but this worked wonders. A top 10 cask ale for me.

Cask at Deramore. I only tried this because it was from the trusty Thornbridge. Glad I did! Pale malts with a very subtle hop character and then suddenly you are struck with delicious, fresh cucumber. This must be a love or hate ale for some, since the cucumber is so very evident. I ended the night having ordered 5 pints of this beauty!

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2012 cask at grove bar ... golden amber ... thin white head ... soft floral hop nose ... oh my god ... its cucumber ... no really its cucumber yeah theres more going on here ... but its cucumber ... wow

well unless the brewer was pulling my leg, cucumbers were added at every stage, including a whole cucmber to every cask.

This is definitely my NUMBER 1 beer that i want to retry at this moment. amazing, just amazing

again with Gin added ... well this is odd.. it just seems to bring out the cucumber nose keg at de molen ... golden thin white head .... soft cucumber nose ... much more bitter cucumber ... soft and easy ... less sweet than the cask i had ok 3.6

Cask. Pale yellow, white head, Good lacing. Aroma of fresh cucumber, biscuits, and pale malt. Light malt in the taste that finishes with cool cucumber and then hop spiciness that blends wonderfully with the cucumber akin to salad dressing. I really like how the cucumber is the key component of the taste while being far from overpowering.

On tap @Borefts fest 2012. Pours of lovely, absolutely clear light-yellow color. Aroma is very faint, mostly piny. Taste presents a good mixture of pine, citrus and cucumbers - quite unusual but seems to be an enjoyable combination. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Borefts 2012. The pourís deep gold with the tiniest of white heads. The nose is soft grains, vegetable, light fruity sweetness. Simple, clean. The taste is celery, white grape, apricot and a touch of yeast. Green shoots. Beautifully balanced flavors, easy to drink, approachable. Wow, great stuff. This is more than the sum of its parts. Better than expected!

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2012 On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours perfectly clear yellow-gold with a light, white head. Pale malt nose, light straw. Light sweet flavor with definite cucumber character and some white sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with a bit more cucumber, hay, pale malts. Really good. The cucumber blends seamlessly into this beer. (3.9)

Cask at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear gold with a weak, white foam head. Almost nothing happening in the nose, faint grain and straw only. Nice flavor, lightly sweet with very true cucumber character, some toasty dough. Light bodied with very low carbonation - itís almost flat. Light sweet finish with some oily cucumber, faint toasty straw, light grass and grain. Condition seems a bit lacking. (3.4)

Cask at the CP&K. It pours clear amber, with a thin white head. The nose is cucumber, melon, passion fruit, tangerine and floral. The taste is cucumber, melon, floral, juicy tangerine, apricot and peach, with a dry, refreshing finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. All flavours are fairly delicate and crisp. I rather liked it.

Draft @ Borefts 2012 - a beer I went to into with the wrong expectations, came a bit short because of that - I expected a cucumber explosion instead this was balanced, complimentary lighter cucumber and sessionable - probably the first and only beer i will ever complain about in a review about not having enough cucumbers - possibly more effective if you donít know what you are getting in - clear orange with little in the way of a head - smell is some hops, bitter yeast, light spices and a touch of cucumber skin, grass - taste is not enough cucumbers - it is subtle and you kind of have to pick it out but it is there, bitter, spices, light hops, mellow vegetable, grass, floral - easy sessionable - not bad stuff
