Tap @ 96th st Indy. Dark pour with decent nose. Not sure the best way to describe this other than its underwhelming for an imperial ipa. Lacks any distinguishing qualities. Still better than a light beer though

Strong aroma of pine and citrus hop. Very strong pine hop flavor. Medium astringent taste. Strong alcohol aftertaste with bitter hops. Very sticky mouthfeel.

TWMs DIPA offering is a step up in most catagories from their standard IPA, but it doesnt breakdown any boundries either. Pours a dark amber, almost brown hue. Aroma features slight dankness with some tropical fruit, but overall very faint for a DIPA.

FROM NOTES: August 2, 12 Poured into a taster glass. A: Very nice deep malt scent, huge backbone, like a rye and a good citrus/floral aroma. A: Pours an amber color with a small light brown, copper head that leaves very light lacing down the glass. T: Subtle hops forward balanced nicely with a semi sweet honey. Caramel notes also evident. P: Medium bodied, big carbonation. O: Very drinkable, but not the best DIPA-- or the worst DIPA -- Ive ever had. I think Id like to see a little bit more aggressive hop profile.

Pint on tap at Trion Tavern. After a long day, I was craving some DIPA, and this hit the spot. Clear red / orange color. Thin off-white greyish head. Good spread of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter, crisp carbonation. Pretty easy-drinking. Big piney, grapefruity hops. Spicy hops. Good bigger bitter taste, minimal sweet. Lightly sticky in the finish. Solid, big DIPA, very satisfying.

Draft clear reddish. Nose cat pee, pine, and resin. Taste pine hop and resin. Good mid palate sweet and bitter finish. Solid beer.

Growler from the brewpub. Dark orange/amber. Light white head with moderate lacing. Smells of sweet malt and floral hops. Taste is bitter, malty, finishes sweet and piney. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Sweet orange malt and orange peel/pine aroma. Amber with small head. Sweet orange malt initially with intensely bitter citrus peel/pine flavor. Not bad.
