Pours amber with a thin white head. Malt and citrus aromas and flavors. Was not very hoppy for an IPA. Thin body with a watery mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

Draft @ brewery. Light citrusy hops and biscuity malt aroma. Hazy straw gold with a large white head. Musty citrus and biscuity caramel malt flavor. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation.

Rated on 4-09-2011 at Thr3e Wise Men. This draft beer has a small ivory head that mostly diminishes, amber transparent body, no carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malt, pine, citrus, and grapefruit hops. The taste is quite bitter, some maltiness, pine, and citrus hops. The mouthfeel is tingly and this beer is light-medium bodied. Even though I am not a hop head and this beer is quite hoppy tasting, I enjoyed it. I recommend trying this beer if one likes hoppy tasting beers and I would consider drinking this beer again.

Thr3e Wise Men’s standard IPA served only on tap/growlers at the brewery in Indianapolis. This isn’t a bad, or even uninteresting, beer, but it does feel like a recipe that could and should be tweeked. Apperance was a light brown, almost amber, hue and the smell was nice but quite faint. Mouthfeel is a little more syrupy than it needs to be. Hops very noticable on the first sip, and there is a decent malt backbone, but it’s not the most interesting/complex IPA by any means. A beer I wouldn’t turn down, but would also not seek out again.

Pretty mediocre IPA. Tastes like a poor mans Upland Dragonfly(also a hop forward IPA). Their seasonals are usually very good; their everyday offerings are just ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent copperish orange with white head. Smells of Centennial hops with a nicely balanced pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Not bad.

Pint at the brewpub. Pours copper. Centenniel hops are in the aroma giving it a piny character. Malts are pretty heavy and a little like wet hay. I could definitely use more hops in the flavor, kind of wimpy for the style. There are light metallic notes and grassiness. Meh.
