3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a cloudy purple-amber color with a thin off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries, wheat and malt. Light body with a mildly tart fruity character and notes of toasty malt and wheat. The finish is fruity with a short berry aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had some of my buddy’s draft at Scotty’s Brewhouse. Pours a cloudy purple-tinted color with a soft off-white head. The aroma is like sweetened fruit cereal, very malty and sugary with sweet blackberry. The flavor has more blackberry character along with sweet malts but works better than the nose. Light-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not my thing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampler flight at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a murky reddish hue, glowing, with a small frothy whitish head, laces small. Aromas are touches of blackberry, mellow sweeter malts, a bit clean overall. Bread, flaked wheat. Initial is medium bodied offering a significant sweet and tart blackberry presence. Pulpy, tannins, moving into crisp bread, some toast, flaked wheat. Touches of estery fruit, some more bread, touches of bready dough yeasy linger into the finish. A lingering touch of tartness, berry, and dryness from the wheat and maybe a touch of grass. Ok. It’s nice that it’s not a sugar bomb, but it seems a touch forgetful. Very "muffin-y".

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a hazy blackberry-infused orange with white head. Smells of fruit and mild vinegar. Tastes like it smells with an average (at best) mouthfeel. Not my thing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample at the brewpub today around lunchtime. Pours a completely opaque rusty reddish brown with a medium beige head. Nose is dank malt, berries, some caramel and creamy wheat. Flavor of sweet berries, caramel malt and a bit of tartness before a sweet berry and wheat finish.

Draught at brewpub. Blackberry and wheat taste throughout. For a hot day, I found this one refreshing and surprisingly good.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
tap at the brewpub - Pours very cloudy pinkish-red and has very little aroma, maybe a little sourish fruit. The flavor is sweet and wheaty with mild berries. It’s light bodied and has a sweet finish. Average at best.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy purple-brown with off-white plum-tinged head.
Scent is fruit, more of a general berry-ness than true blackberry.
Taste runs from initial tart to sweet....berry and wheat.
Interesting look, less so the overall taste.
Decent, but no "wow" factor.
