A bit light on the mouthfeel, and a bit darker than expected but a solid imperial pale.

Very cool brew, looks like a blood ale, lots of red fruit, berries, and hoppiness. Smooth and addicting red IPA, thrash on \m/

Draught at Tadg. Dark copper colour with lasting head. Aroma has berries, malt and some hops. Flavour has lots of grass, pine... some hops and chocolate. An unusual IPA,but a pleasant surprise. Wouldn’t drink more than one.

Draft to pint glass Chocolate, tropical fruit, a little coffee Dark black, thin light tan head. Chocolate, coffee and some fruit notes. Not quite an IPA for me, but a black IPA due to the malts.

Draft - Toffee malt sweetness and a bit of berry. Clearish deep maroon with a rich white head. Red IPA? Malts are in the nose, but flavour is floral, with a grain/bread sweet malts flavor with sweet bitterness. Disjointed and confused.

7% 500 yen at KyotoLefty’s Book launch event at Tadg’s. Deep amber red color with a beige head. The aroma is a nice floral/herbal fruitiness. Medium bodied, bitter, astringent with lots of sour grapefruit. A well made IPA very popular at the event but not my cup of tea.

Draught at Tadg’s. Great piney/malt nose: prune and kampo (herbal medicine). Pretty reddish brown color. Sweet fruits: cherries, prunes, all fresh and deep / hops hit nicely in mid palate / scratchy hop finish. Medium body. Vary tasty stuff, hop strong through and through. I don’t think this is really an IPA.
