3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. It pours a clear-looking dark brown body and a small, dark beige head. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the nose, with a good dash of piney, citrus-peel like hoppyness. All a bit too weak to lift it to an 8. Full-bodied and quite dry. Nice flavor with chocolate, coffee and a nice hoppy impact. Lasting roasted finish. Tasteful and pleasant, well worth a revisit. 110614

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Deep liqourice black (that weird kind of black as if your putting liqourice in boiling water. The centre is extremely black, but the incremental border between black and see-through is very small). Aroma is smokey, light bacon, roasted malts, light dark chocolate. Medium to low carbonation, elegant creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is smokey, dry, light hoppy, some metallic notes, chocolate. A very nice porter with what is actually a quite distinct sweetness in the finish (which is a bit rare).

Bottle at MikkellerBAR - Thanks. Black - offwhite head.
Fruity. Roasted. Honey. Herbal. Sweetness. Light flowery. Dark chocolate. Roasted malts. Light smokey. Berries. Thin body and finish. A bit dissapointing.

06-MAY-2011, bottle @Ølbutikken.
Bought two bags of beer at Ølbutikken, and a few boxes of this brew was delivered to the shop while I was there. Salesperson was kind enough to open one directly and pour me a large sample in a plastic cup. Thx:-)
Black with fine brown head. No real smoke on the nose mostly just sweet with a hint of roast - coffee?
Taste is better with a fine little smokey, chocolate, and coffee taste. Quite full but also quite high ABV for a porter. Some sweetness but certainly also a hoppy bitter punch. Fine effort.
