Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of eggs, straw, malt, and hay. The flavor is sweet with notes fo malt, eggs, straw, and hay, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy pale golden with a small, white head. Aroma of citrus and a little yeast. Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, citrus and banana. Fairly bitter and astringent finish. Mostly reminds me of a light Belgian Blonde. 210208

DuffMan (6462) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear light golden with a bit of sediment at the very end creating a slight haze. The head is large, white, and lasting and leaves lace for half the glass. Aroma initially is green tropical fruit, calling to mind the rind of mangoes. With time, passionfruit and orange peel become dominant. Flavours are biscuity pale malt balanced equally with hop flavours of tropical fruit and citrus oil, slightly floral. Finish is nicely bitter.

Bottle. Clear gold with a large white head. Soft aroma of citrus and various fruits - lychees, gooseberries, passionfruit. Sweetish with a refreshing bitter citrus tang along with tropical notes. Nicely-judged Kiwi hops.

Bottle, gold with a foamy white head. A complex aroma with both malt and hops coming through clearly, along with a little bit of yeast. The malt adds some sweetness, while the hops bring through some stewed fruits. On the palate, there is again a good balance between the malt and the hops. Some fruity flavours are released at first, but then it becomes cleaner and drier along with grainy malts.

Pours clear and golden (tick in the box, it does what it says on the label) with a good enduring head with biggish bubbles in it. The bouquet is fresh and fragrant. Among the grapiness and lemon grass was a toffeish note that intrigues. Also there’s banana passionfruit scents that reminds me of long summers in Nelson as well as hot buttered toast. I’d be quite happy if this is the last thing I ever smell. The taste is fresh and bitter at once. There’s a hoppy tang that I enjoy as well as a generous carbonation. This is an ideal summer ale and one I’ll be recommending in spadefuls.

Bottle. Appears pale golden in the glass with a fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus, gooseberry, grape and malt. The flavour is biscuit malt, citrus, gooseberry and grape - subtle similarities to a sauvignon blanc. Light bodied with soft carbonation and low bitterness. Hint of fruit in the finish. Refreshing ale, though I did lose some interest in this beer after a glass.

Pale yellow straw colour with big creamy white head. Interesting aroma, lemon, honey and grassy hops. Mild herbous hop flavour, slight bitterness. Milky dry finish.

yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 4, 2007
Tasted 05/02/2007. 500ml bottle from New World Miramar. Pours a watery straw gold, almost like a clear wheat beer, with a pure white thin head. Lychee notes, slightly vinous, on the very clean nose. You certainly get the whole Nelson Sauvin aroma here. Aromatics carry through in the mouth, carried by a light and softly carbonated mouthfeel. Hop character is almost like a German noble (herbal, lemony), and feels oily, with a pleasant, lingering, mild bitterness. Begs you for another sip. Easy drinking and very enjoyable for someone who loves Sauvin hops but others may struggle. I love this beers simplicity.
