3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. Aroma: embarrassed to say that very first impression is that it smells like Steinlager (but costs four times as much), after tasting there is more to enjoy about it - malt syrup I had as a child, toffee, band aid (I cant explain why that is a pleasant aroma to me, it just is), dough yeast, dry grass, delicate almost mouldy tangerine, pine. Appearance: nice clear warm amber hue with large off-white fluffy sea-foam diminishing head and foamy lacing. Taste: mild sweetness which is quickly overtaken by moderate bitterness with a long duration, a touch of sourness. Palate: light medium body, smooth lightly creamy texture, tingly carbonation, long dry slightly astringent finish. Overall: nice enough, the "generous addition of hops" as described on the label must have been left out of batch 1243 :). Different to most IPA’s I have had.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Super Liquor $8. This one is a slow burner, i tend not to start really enjoying it until half way through the bottle. However it is a good classic IPA style doesn’t have all the fruity hop notes of others. Solid rustic IPA

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a deep copper with a frothy white head. Really dark colour for an ipa. Nose is light resin, citrus and grassy tones. Taste is more resinous citrus hops and toffee notes. More toast malts coming through with a dry finish. Decent quaffer.

The head is good, the body orange-brown. It smells hoparomtic, bit bitter, malty, creamy. The taste is hop-aromatic, fruity, bit fowery, maltaroamtic, intensive. Good

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A borderline session IPA - which is pretty unusual. Taste is different too - neither better or worse - just different. I’d have another - no question.
