COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What’s a craft brewery to do when all the “typical” IPA hops are gone? Innovate of course, just like craft breweries always have. Hoptimization uses big, bold, bitter hops to get a clean citrusy flavor you’ll love and the bitter bite that you crave. Step away from typical and try something new.

Growler pour. Gold. Sweet citrus aroma. Taste is sweet, light pine, bit of soap. Finishes pleasantly dry with a lasting bitterness.

Very well balanced IPA. Good mouth feel and nice aroma, bit earthy with a solid citrus/floral backing. Easy to drink, almost too easy, with no alcohol burn.

Just awesome, and totally unexpected from this new Virginia brewer. I expected east coast hoppy beer (earthy and more brittish in style) but found it pleasantly californian (citrus, bright, floral). I’d drink this all the time if I lived in Harrisonburg.

Draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Poor head retention. Aroma of herbal, citrus and tropical hop notes with a bit of a tinny note. The taste is herbal and citrus hops, pale malts and a bit of canned fruit. Medium bodied. Disjointed and minor flaws, but could easily be improved into an excellent beer.
