Cask at Chippenham Beer Festival. Deep brown. Yay- found a mild amongst the last few undrunk barrels at the tail end of the last night of the fest. Itís dark brown, maybe a little watery but with pleasant flavours of chocolate, malt and a light roastiness. Very easy to knock this one back. You really can imagine slaking your thirst with this after a day down the mines.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Dark brown in colour without much of a head apart from a few stray bubbles. Fairly ordinary mild, with a bit too much caramel and little else, fruity and maybe a bit of chocolate but mostly caramel. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest í12. Very dark brown with cream head. Really quite a thin mild, a touch on the watery side for me. Sweetish, fruity, I found it a little dull.

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 2. Pours clear brown with a light, bubbly head. Faint dark fruits and light, tangy malts in the aroma. Light sweet flavor, tangy, toasty, and faintly roasty. (Wow, how about that little turn of phrase?) Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild finish, slightly bland, some tangy dark malts. Kind of left me hanging on some fronts but not altogether bad.
