A rich smooth black beer, using a good balance of dark malts. Hints of spicy dark fruits in the flavour, giving way to a hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.

[Bottle from Millets Farm Shop, Frilford, Oxfordshire] Pours black with ruby tints and a large tan head. Slight carbonation; perfect level for this beer. Fruit and coffee on the nose. Initial taste is coffee too, leading through a big hit of roasted malt, sour plums and some liquorice. Smooth mouthfeel, with some dryness in the smokey finish. A lovely porter, thoroughly enjoyed it.
