Cask at Lord Moon of the Mall (Wetherspoon), dark amber-brown, slightly hazy, with thin white head. Malt and a little citrus on nose, more malt plus a bit of grassy hops on the palate. Bitter and faintly honeyed finish. OK, but not on top form.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden brown with a white foam. Aromas are honey and lemon with yeast and some grassiness. Some oranges with light woodiness. Flavours are zesty citrus with associated tartness. Dry and yeasty on the finish. Had a light honeyed sweetness rather than dominant malts. A decent untainted Three Castles bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A hand pump pint pour from The Whole Hog in Malmsbury, England. Poured a very rich dark amber color with an off-white head and good lacing rings. The nose is of malts and ripe fruit, like berries. Medium body and a very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is more malts than anything but as you work your way to the finish the berries show up again, and the finish is nice and bitter. Good session brew.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (Black Door)
Pungent hoppy aroma. Light brown, small loose head. Low carbonation. Big lemony citrus taste immediately - quite a kick, and a pleasant surprise. BEhind that there’s a soft malty taste, and some salty butter. Finish has some pungent and citrussy hops. Very tasty bitter.
