Cask (Giddy Bridge JDW, Southampton) - Amber/copper coloured. Dried fruit and malt in the aroma. Fruity and slightly hoppy taste with notes of dried fruit and a mild bitterness.

From 500ml bottle at tasting with Jan & Charlotte on 2 January 2011. Amber colour. Good condition. Some sulphur in the aroma with just a hint of unpleasant bleach. Otherwise a fairly standard, quite fruity, bitter. Not really too much Christmas-like here. I’m not convinced the bottling went quite right.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Slightly on the thin side but there is a juicy, fruity, leafy hop, the body is a bit grainy, but the hop nicely compensates. Reasonable.
