Draft - Hoppy nose with a caramel/malty balance. Opaque dark brown with a good lasting head. A wonderful citrus hop forward flavor with a balanced amount malts and bitterness. One of the better dark IPA’s.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler served in a tulip. Excellent to look at. Pours dark brown with a large beige head. Good retention and lace. Earthy boggy skunk. Of course that the pine, resin, and espresso doing a dance. 7+ Nice lt-sweet and mid-roasty flavor. Medium body, sticky resiny texture. The IBU’s are very apparent on the long bitter lightly roasted finish. Very good.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom. Dark brown pour with a soft beige head. Smoked malts in the nose with a lot of citrus hops. I really dug this beer, something about the smokiness and hops actually really worked well. Chocolate and charred flavors up front, long citrus hop finish with a pretty strong bitterness. One of the more unique "dark" IPAs I’ve had.

Thanks to Flem for the taster--Deep dark black-brown body with a hint of amber. Bight hop spiced nose with chalky malt spine. Very tasty...got a growler in the fridge and ready to drink it. Yum!
