Dark brown with off white head. Interesting aroma with a touch of stink on it. The taste is a little better with some chocolate malt coming through with some bitterness on the back end. Decent, but nothing special.

Salmoniform (1193) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2015
Poured from tap to glass. Brown hue with creamy off white head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is chocolate, straw, faint roast. Mouthfeel is a bit lacking with a medium light body and soft carbonation. Taste is dry with a slight roasted finish. Overall this beer is a bit lacking in depth and complexity.

Very dark brown with a half in ch of dense tan head. Aroma is chocolate and nuts, and taste is the same, with rich coffee notes. It’s a touch sweet, but clean enough to be drinkable.$1.5/12oz

Bomber from Roth’s. 6.2%. Just about pitch black in color. Lightly roasted nose, with a bit of bitter coffee and anise. Dry bitter roastiness. Some anise and some more roasty coffee. A little bit of milk sugar as well. Drinkable porter.

(Can) Smooth, thin, fairly bitter, and lots of dark bitterness. Not enough dark rich sweetness. I kind of like it, but at the same time feel like it’s missing so much body. Hmm.

Bottle. Pours hazy, dark brown with tan head. Aroma is roasty, bitter chocolate, coffee. Taste is medium-bodied, very thin for the style, smooth, sweet with bitter finish. Overall, not too much going on.

chinchill (2668) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 22, 2014
On tap at the brewpub in Sisters. Opaque black-brown with a semi-durable tan head that leaves a few streaks of sticky lacing. Aroma: Dark and very dark roasted malts with hints of cocoa nibs and toffeand floral hops. Some citrus too. Flavor: Medium strong dark roasted malt flavor; minimal burnt or char elements. Slight more bitter than sweet. Feel: Light-Medium body is a bit watery. Decent low carbonation.

Simple porter with a hint of chocolate. Very drinkable on a hot summer evening in Portland.

Draft at thirsty lion in OR. Dark brown with full head. Warm. Smooth roast malt, smooth texture. Creamy also. Slight cocoa and roasted malt taste. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour with a mocha head. Big dark roasted malt notes with bitter chocolate low lights. Really roasty with some expresso notes. Big roasted malt aromas. Average body and mouthfeel.
