COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Creeks head brewer says the Hodag CDA is 6.4% ABV and pours near black in color, while featuring the generous hopping of an IPA. Munich and Crystal Malt provide a solid Malt backbone while Midnight Wheat and German Caraffa malts stain the beer black in color. Hopped with Bravo, Crystal and Columbus hops, Hodag has a nice piney hop aroma while the flavor balances hints of roast with citrus and mint hop flavors all rounded out by a dry finish.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark brown with a frothy 3 finger tan head. Aroma is evergreen/resin over a malt that suggests cask. It’s a very fresh aroma. Med body, almost. Flavor is lightly chocolate with a good dose of resin/evergreen and a bit of citrus. It’s bitter, and heading towards being harshly so. It’s very tasty.

22 oz. bomber from Roth’s Vista Market in Salem. $4.69 Pours a dark dark brown almost black with a nice bubbly tan head. Aroma of piney hop and caramel, burnt oats and a bit of coffee. Flavour much the same but more towards the piney/resiny hop way..still some dark caramel coffee in the back. Mouthfeel is quite thin adds to drinkability..lingering bitter coffee. Nice Cascadian here.

Bomber. Aroma dominated with stout like characteristics, coffee and roasted malts. Flavor is nicely hoppy. Citrus and pine balanced by roast. Balanced between ipa and stout but the intensity is a bit underwhelming.

Bottle... Poured pitch black with a thick forming, light tan head. This one was easy drinking. Nice roast with some bitterness and green hops. Overall very clean and balanced. Nice example of the style.

Draught. Pours black with medium beige head. Moderate lacing. Light but pleasant hop aroma. Balanced hop and roast malt blavour, doesn’t taste as big as it is. Lekker hop finish
