COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Attacks your palate with a full on hop assault of Amarillo, Bravo and Centennial hops. 20% rye malt provides a spicy balance to the intense citrus notes, while a clean and dry finish begs another pint.

On tap at the brewpub in Sisters. Deep medium-dark amber with a limited head and a few streaks of sticky lacing. Aroma: Sweet. Caramel malts with some fruity hops with a faint herbal aspect. Flavor: Medium strong herbal hop punch with building bitterness partially reduced by the malts. A load of grapefruit and orange peel in the finish. Feel: Near medium body with appropriate crisp carbonation. O: recommended as an alternative to an APA.

It’s about as average as beer can get. The Rye flavor is nice. Unfortunately I think it lacks as an IPA.

I am loving the Rye Ales these days. I had Three Creeks other rye brew, Stonefly Rye and I preferred this one since it is more flavourful. The aroma is bread and black pepper with some spruce hops. This clever girl is dark copper orange with a frothy white head. The taste was pretty yummy, like a better than average IPA with the boon of spicy, earthy rye along for the whole length of the ride. One of the better Rye Ales I have tried.

Bomber. Really present rye nose and flavors throughout this fairly dry rye IPA. Nice and bitter in the finish. Tasty, not bold.

From 22 oz bomber. Color is cloudy dark orange with a white sticky head that lingers around the rim. The sweet smell has some grain. Flavor is a bit sour, then grain, then prodominant bitter. 8.5 BD, 5 JD, 7.5 Patrice

22 oz bottle bought from Roth’s Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem. $4.79 Pours a hazy burnt orange colour with a nice big thick, creamy off white head. Floral and resiny hops abound in the aroma with a spicy rye and salt caramel aromas also..very nice. Good creamy caramel, spicy rye and earthy hops make the taste very good. Lovely medium and smooth mouthfeel carbonation medium high lends to drinkabilty Excellent rye accented IPA

on tap at the brewery Golden raisin color with brilliant clarity and little indication of carb. Nose is subtle with just a little grain and hints of grapefruit. Flavor is robust with bitterness balanced well with crystal malts and plenty of grapefruit and orange peel in the hop character. There is a touch of spice on the malt as well. Medium on full bodied with moderate carb and a dry finish. I can dig it.

Bomber. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium white head. A light earthy rye nose. The flavor is clear, rich spicy rye, caramel, lingering bitterness. Very good brew. The Amarillo adds a nice sweetness.

On tap at Lardo. Colour...hazy golden amber with a moderately thick white head. Nose...lightly spicy and hoppy with floral notes. Palate...a burst of grain up front to go with the foamy froth, then comes the rye spice followed by a wave of citrusy hops that longer nicely on the finish.

Tap at Three Creeks. Pours a low haze golden. Webby lacing. Nose is fresh citrus hops, fresh pale grist. Taste is husky, raw malt, big soap and huge harsh husky grain. Big IBUs don’t have the malt balance to match. Still, probably the best beer on tap :/
