COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now this is a saison! This refreshing Belgian-style ale is the combined effort of Three Floyds and De Molen’s fantastic brewer Menno (the real Dutch Hercules). This spicy and bracing ale was brewed in Munster, but look out for the one we brew in Holland at DeMolen. Cheers and drost!

22oz bottle pours a slightly hazy orange with some clumpy white head. Nose is bright orange peel, some soap, ladies deodorant, herbal. Flavor has a lot of orange pulp, some malt, some flower petals, herbal, radicchio, some lemoncello. Medium, dry, herbal finish. Kinda weird.

Bottle provided by Thorpe429, thanks Michael! Poured a yellow-orange color, touch of haze in this one. Small fizzy head. Aroma was orange and some lemon citrus notes. Taste was light citrus. Touch of spice, but not really that farmhouse/barn notes that I was expecting.

Bottle bought in Copenhagen 2013. Hazy orange with a small head. Sweet with dried fruit, orange, light spices and malt. Not bad but maybe a bit old?

Nose has some citrus, tropical notes, and white pepper behind too much booze. Flavor is similar but with a touch of light malt. Medium body

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of all foam finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent dark orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was bready musty and malt hop. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of semi-sweet whiskey vinous spices and hops. A wonderful best in class brew.

Bottle@ZZT8: BBT1: Thanks to Joes: Medium to smaller sized creamy off white yellow ish colored foamy head on top of a hazy yellow to orange colored beer. Aromas of hops and hop fruits, apricot, peach, yeast, grains, Flavours of bitters, peach, apricot, cream, barley malts, yeast, grains, floral. Aftertaste of bitters, cream, yeast, light fruity and some bitters. Low carbo, soft silky mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Different, special and not what we expected but very nice.

This one poured a hazy light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was fruity esters and hops, some belgian spicey notes, and the bready citrus hops 3 floys smell. Flavor was refeshing, althoguh a bit sweeter than I was expecting, but good balance of spice, sugar and hops. Another solid 3Floyds beer.

22oz bomber bought at the brewery. Wow. This beer is phenomenal. Murky orange-red body, big steady, creamy off-white head. Has the dry funked up hoppiness of a Saison but with the bonus tropical tones, NZ style. Absolutely nails the style, and improves on it. Delicate and soft on the palate despite the big ABV. So much melon hop flavor. One of my favorite beers I’ve had recently for sure, FFF is really on fire. Even at 10 a bomber, I wish I had picked up a few of these. Expected it to be good, but it’s great.

Bottle from Sammy. Dark orange-amber. Light head. Aroma is all grapefruit, where’s the funk? Double IPA disguised as Saison. All hops all the time. Grapefruit ninjas kicking Belgian farm boys ass.

65 cl. bottle sampled @ Kraddel does 1K tasting. Procured by Kraddel. Cheers. Golden amber with little white head. Nose is huge on hops, USA, pine, big hay, lots of spices, big pepper, spicy yeast and quite rustic, nice. Taste is surprisingly bitter, very bitter hay, feels like there is quite a lot of old world hops in here as well, Eastern-EU?, grass, lots of barn, very big hay, huge raw spicy yeast, very lingering, grass, light zest, pepper, huge ester. Lovely but so harsh that it is almost hard to drink a glass, let alone a 22 oz. Ridiculously dry body. Quite lovely.
