2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
hazy orange, light cream head lasts. Zesty nose is light citrus, heavy pineapple with faint peach sweetness, honey then with warmth comes dum dum sweetness, probably the watermelon. Flavor is quite bitter, paper and orange up front with medicine and burn mid-finish. Wouldn’t have guessed saison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle from Binny’s Lakeview. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with a finger-width, dense, frothy and creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pretty fruity up front with lots of tangerines and orange florals as well as a bit of a candied pineapple and grapefruit. Bready pale malts with a light sweetness, some straw, and just a touch of spicing. Flavor is similar. Creamy tangerines and oranges up front with candied pineapples and grapefruits. A light yeasty spicing with a bready, medium sweet malt backing. Sweeter resins, florals, and pines grow a bit towards the end as well as some yeasty spice before this finishes a bit sweet and really fruity with a light spicing and a dry, moderate bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a creamy, medium-full body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, this was pretty enjoyable, but definitely didn’t drink like a saison. Lots of fruity, somewhat candied citrus hops, a light yeasty spice, and a sweet bready malt backing. Pretty hefty when it comes to the ABV%, but no hint of alcohol. I’m not the biggest fan of this, but it definitely has a FFF stamp on it when it comes to the hopping.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap, pours hazy orange with white head, not much lacing. Aromas is tons of juicy and almost rotten fruits, like mango, honeydew, Tropical fruits, mango, bitter hops, a little boozey, tons of fresh fruits and some vegetable qualities, and melon. Awesome and interesting saison from 2 of top 3 brewers ever. Bring it on.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
650 ml bottle
I was not sure how to approach a saison from Three Floyd’s. My memory of Rabid Rabbit still lingers as a bit of a mess. Obviously this recipe worked out much better. If bottles make it to the central part of the state I may have to grab another one.
Aroma / Appearance - The hazy orange base looks like orange marmalade. An ivory head rests on top timidly. Sweet apples, pears, and yeast stick out though lacking is that trademark over the top hops profile. Instead this one is more subdued though still evident.
Flavor / Palate - Apple skins, cotton candy, and an earthy hay base meld to form an experience that is well planned. The texture hangs in the back of the throat where the hops emerge strongest. I would love to try the De Molen version if it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Delicious combo from two of my favorite brewers. The Belgian yeast and wheatiness is welcome, as is the curious blend of spices that give this full flavored beer its character. Not only citrus and coriander, but floral aspect as well.

Amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, light onion, apricot, peach, malts, fresh lemon, quite fruity. Bitter flavour, fruity, malts and hops. Great carbonation. Quite light body. Bitter finish, fruity, apricot and peach. Not quite a saison, but a nice beer nonetheless!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber received as an extra in a trade. Thank you rfraga7! Limited rating due to most of my original rating being lost. Pours slightly hazy golden with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sour and slightly fruity with crackers, lemon juice, dry soil, crackers, white pepper corns, lemon zest, hay, rubber and hints of barnyard. Taste is slightly bitter, tiny sour, tiny funky and slightly fruity with crackers, lemon juice, unripe tropical fruits, lemon zest, moist green herbs, pepper corns, dry soil, hay and hints of barnyard. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sour and slightly bitter with crackers, unripe tropical fruits, hay, dry soil, pepper corns and lemon zest. A standard saison. Tasty but nothing fancy. Had hoped to give this a better rating but got enough to atleast write something.
