I will rate this beer...hear ye hear ye. Smell is weak...not bad...but not salient or highly perceivable. Maybe a little hops (citrus...lemons), oxidized malt, and caramel. Appearance...as all appearances are...throw away category...but it does have nice lacing...tight bubbles and a nice clean burnt amber color. Palate should be called mouth-feel, as that is what food scientist call it. Pretty typical for a 3F brew...clean and well carbonated...but with a little oily resin (like a asian snatch waiting to be tamed...citation). Flavor is candy sweet , with a tad bit of feet-y malt...but it adds a nice body. Not what I want from a barley wine...but is is quite refreshing and pleasant. I’d rather drink this than go to another 08 DLD!

Tap@Warpigs, Copenhagen - fuzzy dark Amber pour with off-White head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, with some wheat and grassy hoppy action, some caramel, toffee, tropical fruity hoppy notes going on, pine needles, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap @ warpigs copenhagen. Pours a Brown colour beer. Aroma fruity and malty. Taste is fruity malty with notes of caramel. Dry finish. Not a barleywine in my opinion more a IIPA.

75cl bottle shared in a snifter. Dark orange/light amber colour with a voluminous off white head which lasts. Aroma - massive hops and not a lot else aside form the malt. Taste is quite sweet initially with the wheat giving a nice creamy mouthfeel but imparting very little flavour that is not overpowered by the heavy malt and hop freshness. I have no idea how young/old this bottle was but the hops were as fresh as any I have ever tried which makes me wonder why some IIPAs are so critical. The hop notes here were piney, resiny and quite oily - very strong and unexpectedly forceful in their profile. Now I know what to expect from the goops I am looking forward to trying the other versions I have but will definitely decide to open them when I want a week’s worth of hops in one bottle. Very strong - in fact it is hard to imagine there is much water in here. ABV is well hidden though. Would have marked higher had I expected the powerful hops. This is by far the most hoppy barely wine I have tried.

22oz bottle in a taster. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of lots of sweet caramel and malts and wheat, some bitterness, and faint hints of alcohol. Flavor mainly of the smooth but sweet malts. Smoother texture. A solid beer but couldn’t drink a lot of this.
