This was a delicious barley wine. I poured into a tulip glass - clear, deep copper, amber color with a tan head. Aroma was very nice - lots of toffee, and carmel (brought me right back to eating cow’s tails candies as a kid), but also a sort of warm saffron. The taste was dryer than I had been lead to believe by the nose. The medium bitterness really balanced the sweetness. Very drinkable. Palate had nice weight and a lingering finish. Overall, great beer.

From tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a dark, slight hazy amber with a small oily off white head. Aroma has lots of caramel malts, earthy, slight old hops, light gasoline and some alcohol. Taste is sweet, and wheat comes more though here. Just sweet, light bitterness. Average carbonation and an oily body. Not my cup of BW.
