3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was a delicious barley wine. I poured into a tulip glass - clear, deep copper, amber color with a tan head. Aroma was very nice - lots of toffee, and carmel (brought me right back to eating cow’s tails candies as a kid), but also a sort of warm saffron. The taste was dryer than I had been lead to believe by the nose. The medium bitterness really balanced the sweetness. Very drinkable. Palate had nice weight and a lingering finish.
Overall, great beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another bottle courtesy of Deuane
A - Pours murky orange with a small half finger tall off white head leaving spotty lacing down the glass.
S - Smells of rich caramel malt, earthy hops, light buscuity malt, honey, and a touch of dulled peppery spice.
T - Starts off with a nice dose of sweet caramel malt quickly giving way to a mix of earthy hops, toffee, peppery spice, chocolate, and the chewy wheat. Pretty damn hot still for being three years old. Finish is a bit dry with a mix of light spice and chewy wheat lingering on the pallet for some time.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Smooth, spicy, feel with a mix of spice and wheat lingering through the finish.
O - Not bad but for being three years old you would think the heat would die down a bit, not ramp up. Glad I got to try it but I doubt I would ever seek another one of these out.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.4%. Hazy brown colour, moderate but lasting off-white head. Very nice aroma of fruity and piney American hops, some sweetish malts in the background. The flavour is dangerously drinkable and even refreshing for a beer of this strength, some sweetness but no too much. And of course large amounts of American hops, fruity first, with a massive resinous bitterness in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
At Zeebra II. Dark orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with a small off-white head. Light lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is quite fruity, mostly dark frutis like prunes, a bit of wheat, malts, some hops. Taste is also fruity, hops, wheat, grass, light toffee. More bitter than I expected. Medium body, very dry, with good carbonation. Overall a great beer, reminded me of double IPA
