Draft. Medium white head, crystal clear light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some bread, light spicy. Taste is medium sweet, bread, grapefruit, light spicy. Light-medium body, quite drinkable. Not particularly bitter, but quite flavorful and quaffable.

Draft. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

On tap at Three Floyds over Christmas. Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderately-dark golden color with a hefty white head and good lacing on the way down. The nose carries loads of tropical fruits, apricots, and citrus. Fantastic mixture of hop fruits going on here. The flavor keeps it going. Great blend with just a touch of malt in the background. Light body with good carbonation and a nice hop bitterness and dryness. Super easy-drinking and fantastically-sessionable. FFF really nails the APA category. Awesome.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a really nice grassy hop note with a hint of citrus and a nice grain backbone. Flavor starts with light citrus that morphs into light grass with a nice grain backbone.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN). But, a couple tastes at the FFF Anniversary Party. Pours a rich deep golden pour, a beautiful glowing fire matches just a faint touch of hop haze. Moderate to big bright white cakey head sits atop, sticks around well and laces ok overall. Aromas are a melange of flavors giving a burst of grapefruit and oranges, lemons and gentle gumball. Touches of Amarillo match perfectly with the gumball essence with gentle lemon, fresh cut grass, and touches of florals. A nice melange, moderate strengthed on the nose. Some light touches of pale malts, gentle bread, mellow. Initial is lighter bodied, a touch of oomph pushing a perfumey and fruity hop up front, gumball and lemons, grapefruit and oranges, touches of florals and a good load of grass. Fresh and vibrant, with a solid dryness from the hops, yet not overwhelming the rest of the beer. Mellow dry hops, fruity, gentle sweetness and a touch of soap. Gentle green hops, dry. Touches of bread and pale malts stick into the middle and moving into the backend, giving just a gentle touch of malts to combat the hop presence. Finish is dry, decently bitter, and refreshing. You could certainly drink a lot of this. I wouldn’t totally be surprised if this is the Zombie Dust malt base with more of a Gumball Head hopping, perhaps a gentle touch of Citra but really coming up all Amarillo in lively flavor and decent yet firm bitterness, a touch of Centennial (I hear it’s a 4 hop treatment of Amarillo, Apollo, Centennial, and something else). Pretty nice, very drinkable. Works for me. Though, I’d take Zombie over it and it’s explosive Citra flavors which scores it better.

Pint at the brewpub. Clear copper hue with a one inch white foam. I smell citrus in the hops but they are more subtle in the flavor. Yeast is tasted here more than other APAs and that is bread. Grass is tasted. The hops bring a different kind of spice and it is one that I cannot pin down. Not quite. brown sugar, not quote roasted. Of course, it is Three Floyds so the unexpected is expected. Interesting beer here. Tasty, too.

Had a few pours of this at the anniversary party. pours a somewhat hazed orange with a foamy white head. Aroma has some nice citrus tropical fruits and grass. However the flavor wasn’t as hop forward, more of a bready malt base and citrus bite some floral and grassiness finishes. This would be a solid APA for anyone else but is subpar for FFF standards of great hoppy pales.

Draft at Three Floyds. Pours a pale gold, light haze and a white head. The nose is nice. Soft grainy malt with a citrusy hop profile, fresh. Some light tropical fruit as well. On tasting, clean and light. Soft pale malt supports medium bitterness. Good hop flavor overall, back into the citrus and the like. Clean and dry on the finish. Really nice APA here.

On tap at the brewpub and also had a few pours at the anniversary party... Pours a mostly transparent cidery orange brown hue and topped with a medium frothy white head... Crispy bready malt with a helpful dose of juicy tangerine citrus sweetness. Nice solid hop forward aroma.. Flavors are bready crackery malt base and a mild citrusy hop bent. Pronounced grassy bitteness through the middle and well on through the finish. Prickly lively carbonation and mouthfeel. Nice and easily drinkable though I’d choose others over this.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a crystal clear, lighter golden colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruits and light tropical fruits with a bit of a grassiness and some florals. Somewhat grainy pale malt backing behind the hops. Flavor is similar. Somewhat grassy throughout with a good amount of citruses and a few floral tropical fruits. A grainy pale malt backing before this finishes crisp, clean, and lightly bitter with some grassy fruits. Lengthy aftertaste following a thinner feeling body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a crisp, clean, tasty pale ale with a nice hopping, but a tad on the thin side. Nice beer though.
