brown/gold in color with a strong hoppy smell with a bit of pine. Nice citrus flavor, but did not get the "quick, dry" finish in the commercial description

Deep amber gold, with fine white head, very rich color. Pine, flowers, carmel(light), peach, and other fruits. Full bodied, with lingering finish, and a dry bitter finish. Flesh fruit, pine, resin, faint malt flavors, while the malt so expertly supports the immense hops. Peach and citrus too make an entrance on the finish. Wow, thanks Brewso!

The best pale ale I’ve ever had. Very well balanced pale as well. Hops are explosive and citrisy. If you have not had this ale you are missing out, because it’s all the hype you’ve read about.

There is nothing bad to say about this beer. Big malty taste with cascade hops fairly gushing across the mouth followed by a nice dry finish and a very slightly chewy aftertaste. A truly great beer.

The body is hazy amber with a 1 ½ inch thick creamy white head with medium carbonation. The aroma is citric with the fragrance of grapefruits and orange rinds. The taste is crisp and refreshing grapefruit juice with a nice hop bite to it. Mouthfeel is a bit thinner than an IPA, but is right on the money for an APA. Nice sessionable beer with no noticeable faults as long as you can tolerate hops. Very nice bonus in a box of trades, thanks to eyedrinkale.

12oz bottle Nice pour, amber colored, nice head and lace. citric piney hops blend in with carmelly sweet malts in the nose, in the flavor. THis is a stellar pale ale, very big for the style, I think. Not only one of the best pale ales I’ve had, but one of my favorite beers period. A bit strong to be a real session beer, but I could drink this all night long just the same.

Bottled...part of a trade with Brooklyn Boy. Poured a delicious deep amber-orange with a wonderful sand colored tight. sticky cap which goes to a surface covering clinging lace which lasts. Lively in the glass with a continuous stream of tiny effervessent bubbles coming from the glass base. Glorious hop aromas...floral, lime, grapefruits, pine and sweet malts. Best APA aroma yet. Dandy mouthful of sweet bready malts at the start then the peppery carbonation helps in literally shotgunning the tongue with alpha oils....like bittered grapefruit and key lime with a floral background...malts sit well in the background mid point....the finish is long with the drying effect dominated by the piney hops and a very subtle bubble gum taste... then the metalic aftertaste followed by a slow warming from the alcohol.....a very flavorful refreshing and satisfying ale. Thanks Edward...this brew is an American jewel.

Thanks Jason for this great ale. This one has a big grapefruit nose and a copper/amber hue. On the pour a big sticky off-white head prevails. It’s abit more hoppy on the nose than I would’ve guessed, but for me thats a good thing! Pale malts, supporting a very well balanced medium bodied brew. Caramel, light bread...Big heady hops. Pine needles and resin dominate the finish. This brew is so that I’m gonna have to get a lot more of them.

Lively aroma full of Cascade hops with a little breadiness. Nice amber color, darker end of the spectrum. Taste is good and malty, with a ton of hop flavor. Finely bitter towards the end, leaves a dry, clean bitterness in the mouth. Basically an IPA.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2005 WOW! For some reason the word HOPS comes to mind! Nick Floyd’s love for Hops is evident in this pale ale. Although the hops were dominent throughout the entire 12 fl. oz. a mosaic of malts and citrus entangle the bitter flavor to create a well balanced mixture. Who could ask for anything More!
