Beautiful by hop dominated aroma with fruits and some cookie. Hazy, amber/orange color, beige almost creamy head, very good lace. Light sweet start, very fruity (mainly orange), very hoppy, after swallowing bitter, long lasting bitterness. Maybe a bit on the thin side. Great example of the style, lots of hops but not exaggerated, very drinkable.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is malty with grapefruit. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a small white head that is gone quickly. Okay lacing. Flavor is rather malty. Nice big hops in the finish. Well balanced.

bottle. amber pour with a light tan head. citrus aroma.very hoppy up front but not overdone. this was very strong to be just a pale ale.sweet mango like flavor underneath everything that came out late in the glass. has a hop and pepper finish, and a buttery mouthfeel. Thanks to Tchrome for this.

Hops and malt, what more could you ask for. Aroma of apple blossoms, pine, furit and caramel. The aroma is full and carries throughout the glass. The flavor is of carmel, pine, pear and citrus. All and all a top example of an APA.

This is one of the best pales i have ever had. The bite is the finish is perfectly balanced by the bittersweet hops. Excellent beer. I would never pass on it.

great pale ale, deep amber color. hoppy citrusy aroma. great taste similar to the aroma. 22 oz bomber went great on a nice mild weathered labor day. count this as one of my new tops.

The true king of beers. On tap at the Maproom, Chicago. Hoppy and I love the dry bitter finish these types of beers leave. Oily and blood orange body. All hail the king.

This beer pours a deep ruby and amber color...and wow were the hops and caramel sweetnesses flowing in this one. The aroma is all over the place hops and caramel malt...very fresh stuff here! This had a nice white sheathing head which died off very quickly. The flavor is slightly acetic with a wonderful malty finish and bitter hoppy front. Some orange and nectar with hints of syrup. This would be an awesome sticky staple for the summer. Dry, but not horribly dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2005 Nice drink for a hop-head. A nice amber/orange color with an off-white head that lasts whether coming from tap or bottle. Great citric hop aroma witha bitter, cirticy flavor to match. A great pale ale. I’m glad Chicago is near Munster.
