UPDATED: SEP 6, 2014 Very citrusy aroma, straight forward peach, grapefruit and some pineapple.

Really a great pale ale, but I had this next to Surly Furious, and I got to say Surly Furious was a bit better, overall easy light malt body, hop carries it, not a lot of bitterness hop, but a lot of grapefruit and aroma, well crafted, but not perfect, still, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Had this again, on tap, next to Zombie Dust.

This one wasn’t much worse at all, just different, more crystal, more aggressive, a bit less balanced, with less hop aroma. But this time it was a lot worse from memory, Hoppiness wasn’t there that much except bitterness.

Cloudy orange with a soapy head. Malt aroma is masked by mandarin orange and mild spice. Citrus flavor but not bitter. Malty sweet finish. A nice pale.

I’ve had this beer many times. A good solid go-to beer since it is easily available year round in Wisconsin. Pours a light amber color. Good floral smell. Taste is a nice balance of bitter hops and sweet malt.

Bottle. Citrus aroma with a murky brown appearance. Thin whit head that dissipates over light carbonation. It's hoppy and has caramel flavors. Well balanced and nice complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear deep amber with a thick rim head, cascades of lace. A good looking brew. Taste is caramel malt with an immediate overtone of floral and citrus hops. Both sides compliment each other (rare in IPAs) as they move right through to a lingering finish. Sometimes the best beers are the simplest. This seems like one of those, because all aspects are in such perfect balance. Exceptional.

Bottle to shaker - deep rust with an average head and lacing. Nice hop aroma and an orange-lemon hop taste. Somewhat dry finish. Refreshing.

Another FFF brew thanks to gumballdust. Pours a slightly murky reddish amber. Much darker than I was anticipating. Has a frothy off whit head that seems to be sticking around pretty well. Aroma is heavy on the hops. Pine resin, big floral notes, and hints of sweet citrus. Flavor is slightly more balanced than the aroma was letting on. The hops are still at the forefront of this beer but there is a malty sweetness throughout. Has a bit of a maple syrupy kind of sweetness to it actually. Overall a solid beer. Not sure if it quite lives up to the "100" rating but a solid beer nonetheless.

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends @ home. Bottled 16 january 2014.
App: Hazy and deep redish/orange amber with a short thick yellowed head.
Aroma: Grapefruit, caramel, spun sugar and then a good pinch of resin and pine. Pretty simple but very nice.
Taste: Sweet with spun sugar/caramel, grapefruit, blood orange, litchi that blend together really nice and then finishes with a robust resiny and piney bitterness.
Palate: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, slight oily.
Overall: Very good APA that really shows FFFs high class. And though it’s four mounths old it’s very tasty and doesn’t feel all too tired. Sturdy enough to almost count as an IPA. Very good.
