Recently had zombie dust by Three Floyds which is one of the best beers I've ever had. Decided to try Alpha King. Tasted from bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with off white head. Good lacing. Aroma of citrus, flowers and pine. Taste is moderate sweetness with a nice lading bitterness. Very well balanced. Tastes of citrus, caramel, pine. Medium bodied with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very good pale ale but a step below zombie dust in my opinion. Can't go wrong with Three Floyds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle@home. Two finger foam. Amber hazy. Fresh pine needle notes. Resins. Good carbonation. Dry light ale body. Fine balanced bitter finish. Not that exceptionel.

The King. The easiest 3F beer to find, and easily one of their best (which is obviously saying something). Darker appearance, hop bomb with an interesting malt balance. The taste is equally amazing and unique; one that would be hard to miss in a blind taste test if you were familiar with it. Just a phenomenal beer, period.

Bottle thanks to J. Pours deep amber with frothy offwhite head, decent retention, some lacing. Aroma: citrus, caramel/candi. Also cat. Surprisingly thick texture, almost viscous. Taste: moderate sweetness, lasting bitterness, a little cardboard. Overall: tasty enough brew, but doesn't really set itself apart from any number of tasty pale hoppy brews out here. Maybe age matters a lot for this one? Bummer on the lack of bottle date. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared at a tasting at tom’s place. Thanks RobertDale for the trade! Hazy amber with white head. Sweet fruity aroma, very faint citrus. Re orange bitterness in the mouth, but soft and very drinkable. Full-bodied, mildly citric, very smooth finish.

Orange nice head. Nose is piney with grapefruit. Very creamy mouthfeel. Orange blossom and some herbal qualities. It’s very good. Like drinking bitter and citrus rose petals.

Three Floyd's flagship beer. Zombie dust get's all the hype lately, but this beer is a must from the best brewery in the Midwest. Great balance between hop notes and maltiness appearance. Hands down is one of the best around in its class.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 Citrus aroma with hoppy smell. Taste is pretty standard IPA with citrus taste (similar to grapefruit juice). Pretty good.
