Burnt orange color, pours a thick creamy head with good lacing. Smells of strong, sharp hops on opening 12 ounce bottle. Centennial and Cascade hops detected, indeed very hoppy, reminds me of an IPA. Good bitterness on the aftertaste. Very drinkable for hops lovers. A favorite.

Blind tasting with the S&G Tasting group. THX to Mathieu87! Only wrote down some small words and the score. Probably the best on of the first part of the tasting. (IPA + American Pale Ale)

Clear dark orange bee, big irregular creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of citrus fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, bit sourish, bit piny. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: wow! Lots of citrus fruits in the start, very bitter, refreshing, bit lemony, sourish touch, passion fruit, some mango. Aftertaste: bit piny, resinous, sweet malts, bitter hops, lemony touch, lots of grapefruit, nice hops, lovely stuff, very nice!!!

Aroma is floral, citrus, honey, beautiful light-caramel malt note also an oppressed herbal, minty scent. Just a wonderful bold balance of APA qualities. Mouth-feel is light with soft carbonation, but it glides smoothly across the tongue. Taste is sweet citrus, grapefruit on front palate. Toffee honeyed malt seizes the initiative driving the flavor towards a lasting medium-bitter finish. Flavors are a little more pronounced than Zombie Dust and were more suitable for my palate. Really tasty if it was an IPA but I am conditioned to prefer my APA’s a little more refreshing.

Pours slightly hazy brunette with moderate pale tan head. Aroma is fruity - tropical, circus, pineapple. Flavor starts slightly malty, then layer upon layer of hops builds on top of the malt. Long hop finish. Very solid, dry, and hop dominant. Part of me suspects an older bottle, because as good as it is, I was expecting more. Shucks, I?ll have to try it again.

Poured from a bottle purchased at the brewery into a pint glass clear amber with a huge thick light beige head. Aroma is citrus with a touch of malt. Flavor is off the map. Hop everywhere so citrusy quite juicy. One of the most drinkable APA ever. A small bit of caramel is evident . The bitter finish is right on. Quite the balanced beauty.

Finally got my hands on a 3 Floyds Beer. Thanks Mike. Bottle, poured a very nice looking clear amber with full frothy head. Floral citrus hop resin aroma, some slight caramel also. Medium light bitterness. Quite smooth. Nice floral citrus aroma with caramal notes and bread. Nice mouthfeel. I was trying not to get sucked into the hype, but I have to admit this is good. Well done.

On draft, served in nonic pint glass. This beer hits you with the aroma of juicy, citrus hops before you even taste it. A full flavored classic from FFF. Flies under the radar with all the excitement over Zombie Dust but absolutely holds its own in the APA category.

Pour from a bottle is a nice hazy amber with a white head. Has a very sweet citrus aroma. Taste is a little nutty with hints of grapefruit. Goes down smooth with a clean after taste.
