APA not this is an IPA...if I were to rate this on style...booo. But it is such a phenomena grass white pepper aroma kills it. Flavor is crisp and dry with a hop presence that lingers throughout. My fav

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours amber with a thick white head. nice lacing. aroma is citrus hops, caramel and orange. taste very clean and crisp. finishes nice and dry. Not at all what I was expecting but in a very good way. This thing would be even more outstanding on a hot summer day. Unfortunately is Michigan in the end of January.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle bough from the Thee Floyds brewpub in Munster, IN, bottled 3 days before opening. Pours a nice orangey-amber color with a thin head that left some cool lacing patterns on the top of the beer after it dissipated. First thing on the nose is citrus, followed by a myriad of notes, mostly in the piney and fruity range. Smells amazing. Flavor is well balanced, a lot going on in the flavor profile. It starts out with citrusy and piney hops which give way to bready malt flavors on the back end. Nice to see a beer get this much hype that isn’t just a total hop bomb.

On tap at Pies & Pints. Golden red with a thin white head. Aromas so pine and citrus. Nice malty backbone with snappy pine, bitter citrus and biscuity notes.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle. Pours a dark amber hue with an average white head. Aroma of citrus, malty, and pine aroma. Taste of orange, grapefruit, pine, sweet malts, hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is light with light carbonation. Finish is bitter and dry. Well balanced pale ale, but I typically like the cleaner finish. Lose some of the malt flavor and this could be top 5 IMO.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From notes... Pours a deep orange color with a thick off white head. Ripe citrus and floral hops dominate both the aroma and taste. Wonderful. Some resin and caramel malt balance round this out well. Medium bodied with a dry crisp finish. Very enjoyable!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a big fluffy white head. A strong lacing. A small citrus aroma. A nice hop character upfront. An almost candy like quality. Really drinkable. Leaves a bitterness on the tail. Good stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Batch 06/09/14. Very slightly cloudy dark amber pour. Softly lacing off-white head. Slow moving bubbles. Nose of wood, sappy resin, earth, and maybe even a little whiff of smoke. Old honey, almonds, peach. The hop almost seems secondary to the malt.... it’s very balanced. Toasted bread with burnt sugars. Hops are grass. somewhat pithy, with notes of lemon candies.
I’m not entirely sure if this bottle was mislabeled. It’s a touch oxidized. The beer was good. Not sure what to do with this conundrum.
