Pour from a bottle is a nice hazy amber with a white head. Has a very sweet citrus aroma. Taste is a little nutty with hints of grapefruit. Goes down smooth with a clean after taste.

An aroma of floral hops, reisling wine, lemon starburst, a touch of grapefruit, cranberry, some cinnamon, and a bit of hidden sweet caramel. Appears a reddish copper with white foam and minimal lace. Taste starts sweet like caramel and cereal, but fades into a lingering grapefruit bitterness that grows as time passes. Palate is fizzy, filling, not syrupy or watery, almost a 5. Overall, very good!

Bottle. Dark copper/blood orange. Bready nose. Full body. Taste has some complex malt quality, slightly sweet, a bit of a surprise at the front. Lingering hop bitterness comes off piney at end of sip.

Had on draft, big citrusy aromas on the nose, with some floral notes as well. Citrus, grapefruit, lemon and a bit of orange on the palate, with just a hint of pine. Some toast on the finish.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks Ian! Pours orange, with a medium, pillowy, off-white head. Big aroma of grapefruit, grainy malts, and some bitter orange peels. Mild malty sweetness, with a fairly assertive bitterness, and a long, bitter aftertaste. Light to medium body, astringent, and sticky. Overall, this is a pretty nice pale ale, with a nicely balanced flavor, and pleasant aroma. Nothing special, but just a quality beer.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2014 Served: 12 oz bottle Look: pours a dark honey color, slight cloudiness to it. 1 finger head, evaporates into a thin film on top. Thin laces on the edge of the glass as it evaporates. Smell: definite smell of hops in the beginning. Taste: hop flavor, slight bitterness to it. Feel: Better flavor with slightly larger than normal head. Not too heavy, good carbonation level. Overall: Better served in a pint glass than a tulip. First Drank: Mom & Dad's XMAS eve 2013

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2014 Bottle from Mikkeller Online Shop. Wow, what an appearance! Deep copper, slightly hazy body, with a beautiful, huge, stable, creamy, frothy, slightly beige head, that leaves a massive ring-shaped lacing. Wonderful, complex, fruity, aroma of wild berries, citrus, tangerine, orange peel, peach, pine, candy. Taste is an almost perfect combination of crisp hop and smooth malt notes, with about the same aromas again, but also a distinct biscuit malt backbone. Incredible balance! Mouthfeel is medium, slick, oily, with just the right amount of carbonation and it finishes smooth, moderate bitter, fruity and malty. Simply amazing! Close to perfection, one of the very best beers Iíve ever had, definitely the best APA I know, even better than their Zombie Dust in my opinion. I donít think that Iíve had another beer before, with such a perfect balance, high drinkability and complexity at the same time!

Six pack from Ashland, Kentucky. Deep golden. Aroma is citrus fruit then citrus citrus citrus. Taste is the same (citrus citrus) with some hop bitterness and caramel in the mix. Good finish. Nice pale, though citrus flavours arenít my favourite in beer.

Three week young bottle pours a nice clear copper orange with some gold in the thin parts, eggshellish suds. The aroma is sweet and fruity with a malty tint. It starts malty and bready with a large pale ale feel, rich on all sides. The hops have a fresh deep complexity with some earthy green stalk, floral, light citrus pine, and light tree fruit flavors. The finishes with a little sparkle of carbonation and lasting floral orange peel hop bitterness with a touch of malty sweet. Pretty nice beer, strattles the line between a malty ipa and an overgrown American pale ale.
