This one blows me away every time. It seems more like a fall ipa than an apa, and if it were an ipa it would be in my top five. Its like biting into a caramel orange with toasted mango filling. Was far and away the best apa in the world until FFF surpassed their own standard with zombie dust. Go get some right now!

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled 6/9/14. Nice clear amber with a finger of off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, floral notes, slight biscuit, a little tropical fruit. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, floral notes, bitter piney hops, caramel. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good.

A damn fine pale. Great citrus flavors, clean end without being real bitter, nice lacing on the glass and the hop profile is just right.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Medium bodied with caramel and resin front to back.

It’s great to have a beer like this, that reminds you that something like a pale ale can be flavorful and memorable without being double digit abv or triple digit ibu, etc. Just a really good beer. A little sweet and malty, with a yeast/bread complexity, prefect amount and type of hops.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden copper color with a huge off-white head. Aroma is tons of citrusy hops: mango, tangerine, and grapefruit. It smells wonderful. The taste mostly follows the nose, with a hint of malt. Delicious. This is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. It looks, smells, and tastes amazing. Glad I bought a six pack.

Deep, clear orange-gold, smallish white head. Smells of pine resin, lighter citrus notes, some honey. Bitterness initially and the predominant note throughout, though balanced strongly by some sweetness and even a touch of umami/saltiness. Medium body, sort of chewy, slightly oily. Alcohol is largely masked. Quite a bit of acidity. Very nicely balanced, quite a big beer.

On tap at Public House in Chicago. Pours dark amber, smallish head. Citrusy aroma. Nice hop bitterness, but still mellow. Crisp carbonation, but easy drinking. Overall, really flavorful APA.
