Thanks to the interweb I was able to indulge in what Munster has to offer. Best IPA outside of California or even Yeti country. I probably had misplaced expectations due to its What I got was a solid IPA and I will gladly pay it’s due ransom to sample the rest of the lineup. However, would it be less phonomenal if it was as easy to find as Stone or Sierra Nevada?

Bottle thanks to Rmill216. Pours hazy copper, with think creamy tan head. Aroma of citrus hops, and caramel malt. Taste is a tad bitter, and earthy. Caramel, walnuts, and a bit of alcohol on the end. A very solid Pale Ale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle thanks to tom10101! pours hazy golden-amber-orange with a short-lived off-white head, some lacing. earthy, nutty, dusty and dry caramel, grassy yet citrusy and lightly piney, fruity oranges, tobacco and dirt. moderate carbonation, light body - some texture, very dry, crisp and aromatic spicy-earthy-citrusy finish. very well executed but not so much my style!

I agree with Kaya, I did drink it with him. More british and maltier then a normal APA. Kind of sweet and fruity.

Very hoppy ale. If you’re not a hophead, don’t venture here. Otherwise, smooth and decent.

Fruity but pleasantly so and one of the better Pale ales. Well balanced with a nice head. I agree with indra that its’ more of an IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2005 Rerate July 2005: Had this beer on draft and it’s a far cry from the contract brewed bottles once available in Atlanta. The hops tingle the tongue and the nose over a malty body that supports the hops nicely. Great APA, although it could really pass for an IPA just as easily.
The appearance isn’t too much. Color of one of the lighter shades of leather with an off-white head that was neither large nor long lasting. Nose is malty with hops that are dominated by the Christmas tree-like over the citrus but both are present. Flavor is surprisingly thick malt for a pale beer with a nice balance with the hops. Kind of a slick mouthfeel, but not as slimy as some.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2004 Dark amber. Tons of lace. Terrific amounts of hops in the nose. Loaded with grapefruit and pine notes. A bit on the thin side for a beer of such gravity and bitterness.
