12 oz. bottle - thanks hank!! pours light copper with no head except around the edges; more hops on the nose than the flavors, which are mixed with caramel; drinks with slight bitterness and thin body despite its overall strength you can taste

Pours light orange/amber with white head. Aromas of citrus and sweet malt. Flavor is pine, citrus, and malt. This brew is very drinkable and had me thinking IPA.

Not a bad IPA. Somewhat hoppy and bitter. Dogfish head 90 minute is my favorite IPA and this one doesn’t quite live up to that for my palate, but I would buy again. Drank Steelhead Double IPA after this one and preferred the Steelhead to this one.....

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced an red-amber body topped by an off-white head of foam. Aroma is fantastic: strong floral notes with hops making a strong presence, along with some citrus. This ale is bitter, in keeping with the style, favoring the hops in it’s palate. The finish is dry with only moderate hops aftertaste. I don’t know if this is the best pale ale I have had, though it certainly isn’t bad by a long shot. I would have to try this again against other pale ales and see how this stacks up...

Pint glass on tap at Chumley’s in West Lafayette, IN. My first beer of the night and it has been quite a while since I have rated a beer so I really don’t know how many I have missed out on from rating. Whatever. Anyways, very citrus strong, more fruity than hoppy, but still very good and left a nice lacing on the glass.

A nicely balanced pale ale, with lots of citrus overtones and a bitter hoppy finish. Very drinkable.

On tap at Chumley’s Poured orange red amber, with white head, and very clear - nice. The aroma is all HOPS. The flavor is dominated by hop bitterness with some malt backbone. The palate is normal - not thin or thick or particularly interesting. Overall this is a very fine beer, but I feel that it is a bit unbalanced toward the hops and could use more hop flavor rather than btiterness as well as some more balancing malts.

Pours grapefruit colored with a bubbly white head. Rather sweet nose of zesty citrus, some faint malt and honey, light leaf qualities and spice. Flavor is a little more plain, bitter hop pine and grapefruit thrown in with a lot of sugar. Palate is a little flat. Very sessionable stuff, if a little straightforward.

Bottle pours a deep cloudy reddish brown. Nice hop aroma: citrus mostly with a bit of a pine backbone. Very crisp aroma. Malt is only slightly detectable. Flavor is bit more muttled than the aroma had me believe. Malt is more evident up front and pine hops take over after that. Citrus flavor is more evident in finish, but is lighter than expected. Aroma was near perfect for stlye (IMO) but flavor seemed a bit disjointed to me.

Clear orange look with a nice big white head. Aroma holds loads of grapefruit along with some creamy notes and grain. Rock solid flavor with a relativly oily palate. Again mostly grape moutaroma with a wellbalanced hop bitter malty sweet flavor.
