UPDATED: MAY 7, 2004 Draft, at the Brewery. Ah, the firstborn child of Nick & Co's "Not Normal" brewing philosophy. It's almost damning with faint praise not to call it an IPA (in which case, it'd rate second to 3F's own Dreadnaught. At our homebrew club meeting at the brewery, it felt as though we were swimming on the US's entire hop production for the year. Tangy citrus hop flavor will give you a buzz long before the alcohol can work its magic. An inspiration to every amateur or pro brewer to "go BIG, or go home!" Bottled: Not surprising that the bottled version is a little tamer than we had fresh at the brewery, even if I did get the bottles straight from the brewery. Still a great hop nose you can't help but get assaulted by. As they say, try to find it on draught, or take the brewery tour!

Pint on draft. Good head on it, with a citrus heavy aroma. Tastes amazing, really citrus and hoppy with a light, clean finish.

Big citrus and pine aromas for a standard pale ale. Deep amber/dark orange color. Very drinkable. Smooth palate. Wonderful beer.

12fl oz bottle poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint. Deep amber with ample offwhite head. Aroma is flowery hops and oddly enough, cream cheese frosting. This beer is like a creamy hops festival in my mouth. Full body, lots of carbonation. Lengthy finish of hops and alcohol. Such a good beer. Wow! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of douce... Burnt orange in color... Aroma of citrus, caramel, toffee, light pine... Flavor is citrus hops, lots of caramel up front, lingering pine and citrus hop dryness on finish, some grapefruit, sticky hop resins... Well balanced, enjoyable... Deceivingly drier than you'd expect by looking at it... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours very clear amber, light tan head that stands up. Aroma is malt balanced with citrus note. Can really taste the English pale malt structure. Very nice pale!

Fat mikkeller and friends - kopparfärgad, något grumlig. Fin maltsmak med en hint av karamell, tydlig men angenäm beska.

Väldigt mycket sötma i aromen, humlig. Riktigt fin balans i arom och kropp.

Has a amber pour, with a thick off white head that left lacing throughout. A citrus, fruits, and pine aroma. There is an orange, grapefruit, pine, and floral taste. Mildly bitter finish that sticks around on the palate. Overall, this is a solid refreshing brew.

Bottle from Cutter’s Way. Pours a nice amber color with a tan colored head. Aroma is citrus, pine, malt and slight sweetness. Taste is a citrus with bitterness up front with a sweet ending. A very good pale ale.
