Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s cousin. A big American X-mas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt and Mexican sugar and of course tons of strange American hops! Cheers.

2008 Bottle, pours a black beer with a decent fine tan head. Aroma is sweet coffee and hops. Flavor is sweet citrus, hops and everything that comes with an impy stout. Very crisp and refreshing. Medium body, well balanced and dank as shit!! Hell yea Three Floyds is the Shit!!

Bottle poured into my new smutty snifter produced a large tan head that lasts for a long time. I was really surprised how much carbonation this one had. The body of the brew was a typical black. Big hops what I expect from 3f’s and this one ids no exception. Other aromas included coffee and chocolate all of which assaulted my senses, quite aromatic. There are flavors of roasted malts, coffee and sweet chocolate. This is a very interesting for a porter very good in the flavor department. Awesome full body brew with tons of carbonation. Great brew my first one this Christmas Day I am easily going to polish this one off while enjoying the festivities. Thanks again Santa

502flavors you kick ass...this is one bad ass porter. Aroma is full of malt, chocolate, and some hops. Flavor is creamy as hell with chocolate and roasted malt and a good balance of hops. AWESOME!

Huge foamy, Swiss Cheese like head. Great herbal, hoppy aroma. There is something unique in 3 Floyds hops. Flavors of coffee, malt, pancakes, cereal, and some astringency. There are some odd herbal, vegetal flavors too, which hold it back a little. Coffee and hops in the aftertaste. An unusual porter, but a good one. Thanks again to Adrian for this, and for many other excellent beers I have rated lately.

22 ounce bottle shared by cdumler. Pours a very dark and very opaque brown color. Medium head with average head retention and lacing. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, coffee and spicy, herbal hops. Minty hops, roasted malts, caramel and chocolate in the taste. Full bodied and extraordinarily well balanced.

22oz bomber pours a dark brown with a one finger tan head, good retention, not much lacing. A lot going in the aroma here, first up is the hoppy aromas lots of pine and citrus, so much citrus I wasnt sure I was drinking a porter. Other aromas included, coffee, roasted malts, and chocolate. Flavors are chocolate and roasted malts with an absurd amount of hops in the finish, also some lingering coffee notes. I have never had such a hopped up porter, with that being said I absolutely loved this beer!

Poured a nice dark brownish color. More hoppy than expected, but very good none the less. Some hints of chocolate and I believe coffee. Overall, a solid seasonal from Three Floyds.

courtesy of kiefdog. Pours brown with beige head and nice yellow lacing. Aroma has plenty of pine hops and light roasted malts with coffee. I really got the feeling of dipping my nose in a pine forest. Taste is roasted malts with coffee and chocolate, light floral hops. After taste was a lot closer to a stout than a porter. Highly drinkable.
