Commercial Description:
Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s cousin. A big American X-mas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt and Mexican sugar and of course tons of strange American hops! Cheers.

Pours a deep reddish black with with a really nice lingering tan head. The aroma is mostly of roasted chocolatey malts, with a bit of burnt sugar in there. The flavor is pretty similar with the thick, bold roasted maltiness really dominating, but in a good way. The mouthfeel is velvety smooth - very nice in this regard. Overall a really solid brew, maybe the best porter I’ve had.

Aroma is quite roasted, a bit earthy, caramel, vanilla. Tastes rich and roasty w/ some coffee. Hops give a nice clean soft bitterness. Silky smooth but could be slightly thicker.

Pours a nice dark body and tan head. Aroma is beautiful roasted chocolate malts and plenty of a hops presence that is definitely not overpowering. The flavor is slightly charred flavor, some coffee and chocolate. Pretty great. So smooth going down. I wish I had more of this to drink.

Pours a beautiful opache black with a thick frothy tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, pine, sugar and grapefruit. The flavor pretty much mimics the aroma only with the malts making more of a statement. Finishes a long dry hoppy/coffee/chocolate. Medium to large bodied.

Bottle. Poured an opaque brown with thin light tan head that clings to the glass. Rich chocolately malt aroma with a faint hint of hops. Rich creamy dry roast flavor, slight char, and the hops again just a hint I did not find them to be too forward just a nice compliment. Rich, full bodied with a dry finish. Nice.

Black with a fizzy tan head, nice lacing. Nice chocolate malt nose with Fir tree hops. Medium bodied. Semi sweet chocolate and toasted malt flavors go down very easy. Finishes with a big Douglas Fir hop burp. Very tasty. 101705

Nice! Dark, dark brown pour. Roasted malts in the nose. Decent tan head. Thick mouthfeel. Some chocolate and coffee with some tanginess. Hoppy finish. Great!

Bomber, courtesy of mreusch. (Thanks Puff n’stuff!) Pours deep brown like rootbeer with a tight bubbled head that dissipates to a halo of a head. Nose is rich and complex, with the aroma of coffee, chocolate, and unidentified cola like influence. The flavor is quite smooth, with a smokiness in the front, followed by a sweet coffee and light smoke. The finish is palate cleansing dry, slight bitter hops. The mouthfeel is quite creamy and smooth.
