Jul 27, 2006 via trade with hippie4beer - Pours a deep brown with a good size initial tan head which faded to a nice film. Light lacing. Has a spicey roasted malt aroma. Has a sweet roasted malt flavor with a little zing. Has a dry finish. Medium body. Very nice. Thanks Seth.

Jul 25, 2006 Pours thick and black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is sweet malts with a hint of citrus. Flavor is of medium roasted malts with a strong sweet finish. Fine mild/medium porter.

Jul 22, 2006 22 oz. bottle. Had a medium sweet roasted nut aroma. Black body with dark tan head. Flavor had a good mix of roasted malt, coffee, medium sweetness and a creamy feel on the finish. Smooth on the palate with a dry cigar aftertaste on palate. Good brew almost passed this one up while on a visit to Wisconsin.

Jul 22, 2006 Damn tasty beer. As advertised, lots and lots of hop: a FFF trademark. Nice balance, with aftertaste of very dark chocolate and hemp. Very nice.

Jul 21, 2006 This dark brown ale poured with a 2 finger tan head. There is a very pleasant chocolate malt aroma and a creamy and slightly carbonated mouthfeel. The malt and hops are so well-balanced that neither is dominant, and the large dosage of both results in a full and satisfying flavor. This is a very well-crafted version of the porter style.

Jul 18, 2006 I poured this beer into my glass for a second and it was like a rocket shooting into outer space. I mean the carbonation was 100%. I had foam all over the counter. After the foam had subsided (about 25 min. for the whole bottle), I could smell some coffee, chocolate, rye and hops. Taste of some coffee, chocolate, hops, hops and more hops. Also some malt and a nice bitterness at the end. For being almost 8 months plus, this was a very good porter when it aged. I had a bottle when it first came out and it was good but not as good as this one. Excellent!

Jul 10, 2006 Pours dark brown with a thick, tan head. The aroma is rich with dark chocolates, molases, figs and light citrus. The flavor is milk chocolate, brown sugar, some pine. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy.
