Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s cousin. A big American X-mas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt and Mexican sugar and of course tons of strange American hops! Cheers.

Pours thick unclear dark coffee with a beige head. Aroma brings sprucey hops so fresh with some roasted malts. Flavor is really hoppy for a porter. Roasted creamy malts are under a prevalent hop profile.

Bomber bottle, to glass. Very dark color with little head. A strong dark, porter/coffee nose, can also smell some alcohol in there. A strong coffee bitterness that lingers on the tongue. I didn't really notice the usual 3F hoppiness. Medium carbonation. A little bit of an alcohol finish in the back of the throat. I am not usually a porter drinker, but this is good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’m not a big porter fan, but good ones are enjoyable, and this one is very good. Chocolate, dark roast coffee and a nice citrus bitterness. Very tasty and very drinkable.

Santa would be a very jolly fellow after a pint of this! Wow! Draft in a small snifter from Fiddlers, our local Irish pub. Lots of rich chocolate and tar on the nose and the palate. The hops come through on the finish. I think this would be very good warm. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 22oz bomber. Aroma is roasty chocolate and citrus. Flavors are chocolate, roasty malt, citrus, and slight pine. Very solid drinkable porter! So much better fresh!! 3 Floyd’s FTW!

On tap at Three Floyds. Black with thin brown head. Aroma is roasty with C-hops. Taste is creamy and roasty with chocolate and sharp C-hops. Bitter finish. I’d call this more of a Black IPA. Delicious.

Bottle from Rebekah as part of an awesome FFF box. Thanks again! Pours nearly black with a super creamy two finger mocha colored head. Big hop aroma that I wasn't expecting. Pine galore, some lemon, some roast, chocolate, and big sweet sugar. Big chocolate and hop mixture in flavor. Lots of bitterness and pine, some sweet chocolate, then a bit of buttering roasted malts. Medium bodied, pretty smooth, with medium plus carbonation. Very drinkable. Dry finish. I was not expecting this at all, and for some reason was thinking this would be a big sweet chocolate dessert. I like it though, and it is a big hoppy porter bordering on black IPA. Glad I finally got my hands on this one.

Pours inky black with a thin tan head. Woody, hoppy aroma. Taste is very complex, chocolate, wood, oranges. Finish is bitter with orange and cocoa.
